THIS RARE VINTAGE MUSCLE CAR IN THE BODY OF A SEDAN IS GERMAN ENGINEERING AT ITS FINEST! HISTORYThe car was manufactured in November of 1970 in Germany. The original owner was a well known and respected Executive working in the NBC Studios building in San Antonio, TX. After his passing, his widow kept the car garaged and rarely driven for over a decade. The car was eventually pried from the arms of the nostalgic widow by a reknowned professional racecar driver who had seen the car being driven locally. Being a car enthusiast and an owner of classic cars, the racecar driver impeccably maintained this vehicle from '89 to present and the detailed maintenance history is available upon request. This car has been babied and has always been garaged kept in San Antonio where it is located today. FEATURESThe color scheme is Anthracite Silver with a Cherry interior, which is extremely rare and desirable. The car has a WORKING A/C and power windows. The car has a full size spare tire and jack mounted in the trunk. The car also has all the original carpeting. CONDITIONThe pictures in the slideshow below are the most recent photos of the car and as you can see, the car is in EXCELLENT condition. The car has just over 88K ORIGINAL miles and has been driven regularly to ensure that the condition was maintained with low mileage. This car has NEVER been in an accident and mechanically, this car runs and drives SUPER. She runs on all 8 cylinders and can really haul! The transmission has had recent work done and the mechanic has warranteed his work for 1 year. The suspension has been completely redone and will stay up for the better part of a week after idle. The paint was redone in the original color ten years ago and the leather seats were reupholstered shortly after. The wood trim inside the car is in "like new" condition as the majority has been recently replaced with trim from a junked 6.3. The undercarriage is in great condition and rust is not a concern due to the climate and geography of San Antonio (pictures of undercarriage available upon request). There are a few small areas in the car where the interior needs work. The driver's headrest has a torn seam (easily repaired), the armrest (which is 41 years old) has regular wear and tear on one side, and the front passenger seat back has small blemish. The original radio was replaced and the face for the new radio is absent. PAYMENT/SHIPPINGAfter the auction has concluded, the winner will be contacted to arrange payment and shipping details. The buyer has 3 Days to provide payment and arrange for transport. Buyer is responsible for shipping the vehicle to their preferred destination.
