Vehicle Detail

Unique and fun to ride totally custom CB650 Cafe Racer! Here is a link to the walkaround I did with the bike running: http://youtu.be/A4P_dzm-qwQ Registered and pink slip is in hand. Also listed locally for sale. Please, make an appointment with me to see the bike before trying to talk price. Lowball offers will not be responded to. My asking price is right where it should be. This bike is in excellent condition. It has sat a while but I cleaned the carbs and she starts and runs. Battery is new and has been on a tender. Very low miles and engine is in great shape. As with most Honda 650's from this time there is a small but insignificant oil leak at the head gasket, this was a common issue with this motor and is barley noticeable which is why I chose not to replace gaskets. Also common for this model was a charging system issue. Builder has replaced the entire charging system ( stator, rotor, rotor brushes, regulator/rectifier and battery) and it functions perfectly (13.48 v @ 3000 rpms). It has brand new Dunlop tires but the rear has a slight cut around the left side, I have put 174 + miles on it since the modification and feel this tire is safe for use or you can replace it. Other than these issues this bike is in near perfect condition as it was recently completely modified. I will attempt to list all the features here but when you get the bike you might discover a few extra goodies I may have forgotten to mention here. All work except the painting was performed by the previous owner. Below is a list of items that were custom fabricated, modified or re-purposed. Modified 1978 cb 750 fuel tank, cut 4 inches and dished sides, hand built seat/cowling assembly, seat pan and upholstery, shortened and reshaped front fender, GP shift pattern, side covers and numbers, battery box, rear sets and pedals, head light mounts, speedo/tach mounts, indicator panel, brake light, turn signal and tag/running lights, tag mount, fuse panel cover. Here is a list of brand new parts/accessories purchased for this build. As I said above the stator, rotor, rotor brushes, reg/rec and battery are new, NGK spark plugs, NGK spark plug wires and caps, K&N air filters, front and rear Dunlop tires, drive chain, t-sigs, brake, running/tag and head lights, Biltwell Clubman handlebars, grips, mirror and bar end, Vance & Hines SSR muffler ( shortened ), exhaust wrap, oil and filter, fuel petcock and vacuum pump, Replaced old mechanical slide carbs with newer, Keihin CV carbs ( off a 1986 650 nighthawk ), new throttle cables, brake hose line and fittings, front fork seals, dust wipers, dust covers and fork oil, rear shocks by progressive. As for the finish, all new paint, jet black with deep red racing strips and accents tank, fender and cowling assy., frame and wheels jet black, new high temp engine paint, aluminum parts polished or brushed ( caliper, switch housings, side covers, inspection covers, oil filter housing and starter cover ) Paint is okay, but not perfect. There are a few very small blemishes during the painting process and a few bubbles in the top stripe on the tank. Serviced items include, front fork service, oil service, valve adjustment, new charging system. Carb jetting, adjustment and synchronization. That's pretty much all I can think of right now but this bike has been gone over from top to bottom and is in good running condition other than carbs could be cleaned better from sitting several months and rejetted a tad leaner (new jets included) One of the most fun bikes I've ever ridden and a real head turner. And built with pride, love, creativity and great attention to detail. This motorcycle will make someone very happy for years to come. I am the third owner of this bike. The previous owner/builder has gone over every part of this bike, and it is solid. Shipping/Payment - Please use a ship from ZIP of 92675 when getting your shipping quote.
