Vehicle Detail

1954 Ford F-100 Pickup Truck. This is a neat old Barn Find. This truck was originally used as a farm truck. It sat on the farm and in a barn for years. I don't know how much of it's life, this truck spent in storage, but I think the 53,000 miles, on the odometer is accurate. This Truck has a clear Ohio Title. The Truck appears to have always been red. The Fenders were painted black. The whole Truck has that faded or shop worn, rat rod look, everyone is looking for. This Truck has never been restored, as far as I know. The Body on this truck is good, not perfect. There are some dents and dings and rust. The faded paint, rust and dings add to the shop worn, rat rod look. The Truck has it's original overhead 6 Cylinder Engine and Automatic Transmission with the shifter on the Column. The Automatic Transmission has got to be rare in a truck this old. I don't know if it makes it any more collectible or valuable, but it is a pretty unique feature. The Engine starts easily, every time and runs and idles well. It has complete exhaust and runs smoothly and quietly. Part of the Exhaust has been replaced with a section of flexible pipe. This isn't original, but makes the truck quiet. The Truck has Manual Steering and Manual Drum Brakes. It Starts, Stops, Runs and Shifts through the Gears. The Truck starts and runs on an original style 6 Volt Battery. It has not been upgraded or changed to 12 Volts. The Lights and some Gauges work. The Generator Light comes on while starting the Engine and goes off when the engine is running. This indicates that the Generator is charging, when the truck is running and I have not had the need to jump start it, so I assume it works properly. This truck has some rust in it. The Cab Floor has some patches. There is no Carpet or Rubber Mat in the Floor. The Dashboard is solid and the paint on it is faded the same as the exterior of the truck, but shows less wear. The Instrument Cluster is nice, looks good and appears to be original. The Seat is very nice and appears to have been recovered, at some time. There is no Headliner. The Cab Corners are not rusted out, but have some paint bubbling on them. The Roof and Rear of Cab are good. There is some rust in the bottom of the Driver's Door. The Windshield is Good. The Driver's Door Glass is good. The Passenger Door Glass is cracked, but rolls up and down. The Rear Window is cracked. The Running Boards have the usual rust and rust holes in them. The Front Fenders both look good, but have dings and rust in them. The Front Bumper is good and solid. The Hood has the usual rust across the front, but isn't rusted to pieces. It has it's Chrome Trim and an emblem the says Fordomatic. The Grill has some small dings in it, but looks nice. The Rear Fenders are good but have rust, dings and scratches. The Passenger Side Rear Fender has a small hole, from a bullet or something. This may not show up in the pictures. The Bed of the Truck has a piece of Steel welded in the floor. The Tail Gate is there, but is not the original. The Chains and Hooks are there and appear to be original. There is only one Tail Light. The Faded Paint on the truck is awesome and really makes this truck. The truck is sitting on a set of 16" steel wheels and Vintage Ford hub caps. The tires are Bias Ply and are not in very good condition. They hold air and are good enough for a test drive and to load on a trailer, but are in no condition to be driven any distance. You cannot drive this truck home! I may be able to assist with delivery, for a fee, within a few hundred miles of Canton, Ohio. I am posting good pictures and tried to give a good description of the truck. I will try to answer any questions through email. This truck sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
