Vehicle Detail
A very rare 1957 Roadmaster 75. Buicks answer to their biggest competition, the Cadillac. This is the very rare late model year Roadmaster 75 with the single rear window (normally you see a three piece glass window). Some additional trim pieces identified this as a series 75. They put in as many options as they could to stay up with the competition. This one has the power windows and seats. Engine runs well (the starter is on the floor, kinda cool) and Dynaflow transmissions works fine. The lights and signals all work. The brakes have been worked on last year, the gas tank has been reconditioned and tefloned, and you can see the major chrome on the front bumper is still beautiful. Radiator has a small hole and leaks coolant...needs to be soldered (Cannot be driven very far because it will overheat). There is a small crease on the passenger side door and the car could use some paint touchup. Check out the price guides and you can see that with a little work this cars value will increase dramaticaly. Stainless and metal pieces inside and out are showing their age and can be polished to a nice lustre but not show quality. Paint needs a color sanding and buffing to shine. Interior upholstry has been redone but is a amueter grade job. In the photo it looks dirty because after removing the components needed it was not cleaned up. Air conditioning ducts, compressor, evaporator, condensor, heater core and their dash controls have beenr removed. Wonderbar radio and floor button also removed. This is either a superb parts car, a low price point for a rare car or an exceptional starting point for a restomod. Located in Costa Mesa, CA and must be picked up by buyer. On Sep-21-12 at 20:20:31 PDT, seller added the following information: To all bidders; Sorry for the bidding changes. The last high bidder "sture58" has zero feedback and I was very concerned he would peform if winning the auction. I contacted him to get validation he was serious. He was a nice guy from Norway and said (after a couple of days) he had purchased something else and hoped he would not win the car as now he had funding issues. To make the the auction continue smoothly I cancelled his bids. The price for this car is dirt cheap and the winner will be getting a great deal. My feedback is evidence of my integrity. Good luck to all!
