This mini motorbike runs. At the base of the crankcase, the stamp reads MR50E-1028905. A video of it being driven in September may be seen at YouTube "MR50 runs fine (September 2012)" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1N7kyU16KoA&feature=channel&list=UL It is in very good, but not perfect or "like new" condition. The two defects are a crease dent in the left side of the tank and a partly broken throttle cable. The throttle cable break does not prevent the bike from being driven and was/is very common with this model. Replacements are available from RE-MX http://www.re-mx.com/mr50/mr50_parts.php I am the original owner and rode it for a magical summer when I was about eight years old. Mom saved money for a trip to Disney; Dad bought this motorcycle for me with the money! A new subdivision was being created in our neighborhood, so I spent all my time cruising on freshly graded dirt and mounds from construction. The bike was then cleaned and stored by my father for decades, until my daughter rode it about a dozen times one summer. The bike was then stored again for seven years, until my son rode it about a half dozen times over two summers. Each time, we enjoyed the throttle stop feature that allows one to set one of four limits on the throttle while a young person is learning to ride. I think my family has maxed out the enjoyment of this bike. Perhaps it can be enjoyed by you or yours. I am simply selling the motorcycle.
