This beautiful GTO completed a frame-on restoration two years ago. The 389 ci engine was rebuilt to factory specifications (360 hp) and a new tri-power manifold and carburetor setup replaced the original four-barrel. There are less than 5,000 miles on the rebuild. It is not a #'s matching engine. Front-disk brakes were added for safety and an MSD distributor was added for reliability and improved performance. Body and suspension bushings were replaced. New shocks, springs and stabelizer bars were added or replaced. She was completely rewired. All dash guages and lights work. The headliner and door panels were replaced. The seat upholstery appears to be original and in very good condition. A new correct alumanized exhaust system was added along with the correct stainless steel splitter exhaust tips. The floor panels were replaced. The trunk pan was not replaced and does show some rust damage if you look hard enough. The car was repainted in the original Burgundy ( Code N ) color. The transmission and rear-end were examined and bushings and gaskets were replaced. BFG Silvertown Radial Redlines were installed on new 15" American Mags one year ago. The original (non working) AM radio sits in the dash. This car is unmolested except for the disk brakes and distributor. There was lots more done, but you get the idea. She drives sraight and true with no rattles and little wind noise. She's quick, but not a drag racer...she's way too nice to abuse. I'd feel safe driving this car anywhere...but I wouldn't. This is of collector quality and will only increase in value. No trades considered. No dealers please.
