Vehicle Detail
Hi! Ladies and Gentlemen. Here we have a very nice 2003 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Convertible. I purchased this car over 1 1/2 years ago with the intention of repairing its minor damage. I had the car shipped back to New York and paid the NYS sales tax in preparation of getting it inspected by NYS Police to obtain a clean NYS title with salvage history. The car has all original paint, except the bumper cover. The damage on the car is limited to minor scratches on both doors extending to the rear quarter panels. The left rear quarter has a scrape mark near the left tail light that must have happened during shipping since it wasn't there and the paint was freshly scraped with clean metal visible. Now it has surface corrosion on the area. Additionally there is a soft dent in the right rear quarter and minor scratches and dings on the rear trunk lid. All in all very minor and I was quoted 700-1000 to repair and paint. The front nose is perfect with no repair needed. The car drives fast and furious with no issues. It does not burn any oil and i have not observed any leaks. The rear bumper cover needs refinishing and has minor imperfections. The soft top needs a micro switch to open fully, but it will open half way or all the way if opened manually. I did by-pass the switch through the rear relay and the top opened all the way on its own. The car battery had died apparently while at the auction prior to my ownership so the lazy staff never bothered to jump it to obtain its mileage. As a result the title showed up TMU, however through Porsche the mileage is actual on the vehicle. Porsche trunk is electric and needs to be jumped inside the vehicle by the drivers left side kick panel, the battery is in the trunk. I have not completed any work on the Porsche because of my busy schedule. I am an investor and out of state working deals which takes up most of my time. The car has a book value of 35k and is worth every penny. I paid thousands more for this Porsche then its reserve price. Just want it to find a good home since I don't need the money. This was gonna be a father-daughter project that I just don't have time to get to. Happy bidding AND good luck!
