I am listing this for a friend that is a body man. He has owned this vehicle for 4 years. It was originally a Nebraska vehicle and was pretty solid prior to being repainted. Very nice car and pretty rare. They made approx 250 of these in 1971. This is a GMC Sprint SP (similar to an El Camino SS). This has been determined by the vin which denotes it is a custom model. The SP was based off of the Custom model, not the base Sprint. Also, the SP had a round speedometer, as this Sprint does, compared to the standard Sprint's square speedo. The rear tailgate contains the correct trim as well. The car was originally a 350/auto, but its not known if this is the original engine. Besides the new paint the car has new bumpers, carpet, seat was recovered, a new dash pad and headliner installed. The vehicle runs and drives nice. All lights, horn, wipers work-the gas gauge however does not work. The AC system is complete and has many new parts, however it does need a new compressor. It does have power steering and power brakes. The rear end is a posi, but not sure if its original or not. The pictures tell the story the best. Note how straight the box is. I am selling this for a friend so my knowledge of this vehicle is limited to the info I have included here. I have based all of the information off of what was told to me by the current owner.
