This is Clarabell, I am the third owner and I now must let her go.she runs strong I drive her at 50/55 mph comfortably on the freeway with plenty of pedal left. I parked her two years ago and covered her up. I have not the time she requires to maintain and restore her and time is taking a toll. she needs a good home. I will not sell to anyone wanting to hotrod her ,she is a piece American history. she has had an overhaul and the interior was done before I bought her. I like the seats and door panels but i'm not impressed at all with the headliner. all glass is good and everything works. The car has free wheeling but i never tried it (I live in the valley, no hills) the battery is dead. it runs on the 6 volt system and I have cursed at her many times and always threatened to switch to 12 but never did, she always ended up starting.I did however put in an electric fuel pump but left the original bolted in place. the rear drivers side quarter panel was smacked by a snow plow in the 1950's and they did a quick hammer out and paint and that needs to be taken care of properly but I enjoyed the old patina paint and tried to revive it as much as I could . in fact the old timers at the car shows I took her to would all get into heated debates over if I should repaint or leave it alone...lol.. but the paint and body need to be done. The roof is in good shape but the front seem came out and needs to be re stretched and fixed or replaced that is an easy fix. the ideal new owner will take the time to restore her right....AND NO BIG BLOCKS! I have the shop manuals and lots of literature.
