Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE First, let me start by telling you why I have set the Buy it Now at $5,500. I need the money in order to purchase a four-door car for work in the next couple weeks. While the Tiburon has been great to me, it no longer suits my business needs. I bought the car from my Mom about 4 years ago, who owned it since 2005. Since this car has been in my family, I have pretty complete maintenance records on the car, especially those since 2008. It still handles and drives great, and definitely gets good gas mileage. The 5-speed manual transmission is by far the easiest clutch I have ever driven. The cargo space is great: you can fit a ton of stuff in the hatch-back trunk with fold down rear seats. It has been driven to and from either my office in the suburbs or downtown Chicago. Prior to that, my Mom did mostly highway miles in between Indiana and Chicago. Here are the car's good qualities: Low retail value on the car through NADA is $6,300. The interior is very clean and well maintained. The car really looks good, and the interior looks even better. I regularly cleaned and waxed the car and it has been garage kept since I owned it. On the inside, I had a new Pioneer stereo installed to run my iPod through, which was a huge improvement on the original factory piece of junk. The A/C works great and is very cold. The cloth seats are in good shape, as are all interior surfaces. All the gauges, interior lights, cruise control, and power locks/window work. Engine and exhaust sound and run fine. I had it in my shop earlier this year and did a fair amount of maintenance: replaced front brake pads/rotors, pads on the rear, serpentine/power steering/A/C belts, radiator hoses, headlights/taillights. I also have an extra set of wipers, winter floor mats and bulbs that come with the car. Here are the Imperfections: Cosmetically, the exterior has some blemishes. There is a scrape and crack under the front bumper on the right side from bumping into a curb on a snowy day a couple years ago. There also is a crack/ding on the back left bumper. The front right lower fog light is out, although both headlights and the left fog light work fine. There are only a couple small things inside the car. The driver’s seat has a small burn mark from the previous owner – been there since at least 2005. Also, the leather on shift nob is showing signs of wear. Maintenance wise, the tires have about 35,000 miles and may need to be replaced. The handbrake is quite loose; the cables may need to be replaced. I have little experience with this car mechanically other than the insights my trusted mechanic has offered me as he has worked on it over the years. Since I am not a mechanic, I'll do my best to answer any questions you have, but I'll apologize in advance if I don't know the answer. You will need to pick up the car and pay for it in full in cash within seven days of the end of the auction. This car comes with no warranties and a clear title. Good luck with the bidding!
