Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on an amazingly original and clean Porsche 914. This car was originally bought in Tennessee and we have service records since 1984 showing it has been in Georgia untill now. The vehicle is 99.9% Rust Free. We found one small bubble in the lower corner of the right windshield pillar near the hood/fender line. Thats It! It has only 92k miles and for a 1973 it is in Very Good Shape! Although not a "show quality" car, it's not to far away. The motor is a strong running 2.0 that is easy to start and doesn't appear to smoke or have any missing parts. It does however have an oil leak.(i hear this is pretty common on this motor). The clutch works fine and it shifts good, but transmission 1st gear appears to have a bad syncronizer, as it does pop out when you disengage clutch. 2,3,4,5 and reverse are fine. Car did not come with power options, radio, or A/C. It does have a removable targa top that works fine and is in good condition. Car has all the emblems and lettering in tack. Has the original alloy alluminum wheels and good tires. The dash guages all seem to be in working order as well. The only real cosmetic flaws i see are a brush touch up on drivers fender that needs some attention (pic) and a small dent on rear decklid (pic). As i said, no body panel rust. Paint is in great shape. Just needs a good waxing. I don't have a lot of knowledge about these cars personally, but our mechanic replaced the "end links" on the rear suspension and both rear brake assemblies to ensure it is safe to drive. So i think you are an oil leak and transmission repair away from a "Real Car". The drivers outside mirror is broke, but we have ordered a new one that will be with the car at time of sale. Also, we have service records from as far back as 1984, i believe. We have the owners manual, and the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER! If you have any other questions or concerns, please call Tony at 912 390 1553. We are Southeastern Automotive Group located in Folkston, Ga. We are 30 minutes from Jax (jacksonville intl airport jacksonville, fl.) and offer a free ride from the airport to our location. We can also help arrange transportation to any U.S. location or the local port for export. Thanks for looking! *vehicle is also for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time*
