Vehicle Detail

Low reserve! Sold "as-is", for parts or repair. Motor & drive train are smooth and strong running. This vehicle is my daily driver. I bought from my father in-law in 2010. I am 4th owner and have a recent report from CarHistoryFacts.com within the last week. Clear title, no incidents or issues reported. We have taken care of many repairs for you already!. 210,000+ miles on the odometer. Transmission was recently replaced with a rebuilt 5 speed manual and the engine was replaced prior to that with a strong used motor by one of the previous owners (#1 or #2). Unknown mileage on replacement motor, but much less than official mileage on the odometer. Runs strong and smooth. Valve cover gaskets weep oil, but are a cheap repair if you do it yourself. No steam or blue smoke coming from exhaust, indicating the block and heads are in good general health at this time. Body is in generally good condition. No major dents. Rear bead and tailgate are in good condition. There is some rust bubbling beginning on lower body panels behind each door. Definitely repairable. Other body panels are in decent shape. Some minor dings and scrapes. All lights function and are intact. Just put new Firestone Winter Force tires on last fall. Those two tires can be studded. HD battery was replaced summer of 2011. Other work completed includes: new water pump, brake line and cable repairs, ball joints, front shocks, freeze plugs, windshield replaced with new OEM tinted glass, distributor cap/wire set replaced, MAF sensor replaced. Interior condition is fair. Headliner has cuts/small rips and water stain from rear window (probably from being left open over the years). No window or door leaks at all. Carpet is fair up front and poor in the rear (there is fiberglass resin spill behind the passenger seat that cannot be removed). Dash panel and instrument panel in excellent shape...no fade or cracks. Front seats are in good condition (no major rips or holes). The center arm rest does droop a little (may be able to tighten). Rear jump seats are in good condition. All glass is in excellent shape. The top plate on the fuel pump/sending unit assembly has some rust-through. The tank cannot be filled to the top as-is, but some sealer/epoxy is quick and cheap fix. Reserve price has already been reduced to compensate. This vehicle is being sold "as-is" for parts or repair. This item on the vehicle has never resulted in a failed inspection, but you may need to take care of this item on your own, if you intend on getting fully registered and inspected. Fuel pump and sending unit work fine and the plastic tank is in good condition. Exhaust system is in generally good shape. No exhaust leaks or loud noise. Front end handling is OK. Ball joints and shocks replaced, but not like a race car. If you have driven an old Ranger, you will know they were never very race car-like in the front end response department... If that is what you are seeking, you would not be looking at a vehicle in this price range! I am including a spare set of 14" chrome rims (without tires), so you can make up a pair to swap out winter tires currently mounted on the truck. A/C does not hold a charge at all... Could be seals in the compressor or a leak in the line near the compressor. Heat and heated defrost put out more than enough heat! Too much work done on this truck to dump at salvage yard! A lot of great parts for you to use in your project or with a few more repairs... You can get a few more years service out of it. I would be keeping another year or two myself, if I weren't getting another family member's car. You can put on the road yourself, but you take on the responsibility of completing any remaining repairs that may be required to pass M/V inspection. On Sep-06-12 at 07:47:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Low reserve & Buy it Now are both $1,000!
