I am starting the bidding at $6300. This is a great deal considering that in the condition it is in, the car bluebooks for between $9500 and $10,000 and that is with the engine having 77,800 miles on it. The replaced engine came out of the exact same model of car and only has 33,000 miles on it. It was installed by two of the best mechanics on Staten Island and I was told by them that it was the cleanest, nicest used engine they have ever seen. I bought the engine through a very reputable dealer called Engine and Transmission World and I can send a copy of the bill of sale so you can confirm the mileage on it. I have driven the car a total of about 1000 miles since it was replaced (including a few trips of about 200 miles each) and it runs as beautifully as when it was brand new. I have such faith that you will be happy with it that I am providing a full warranty for 45 days. If anything goes wrong with the engine I will pay to have it fixed by my mechanic. Also, I will not ship the car, it must be picked up but I will consider driving it to where you are for a $75 fee, although it will have to be at my wife's convenience since she'll need to drive me back. I am located in Staten Island, NY which is a good central area to Jersey, LI and the rest of the boroughs. Hello, I have a Mazda 6 Sports Wagon with a replaced engine. The new motor is the exact same Mazda engine that was originally in the car and has less than half the mileage of the car itself. This is absolutely NOT a rebuilt engine. There are brand new brakes, O2 sensors and a new catylitic converter. The freon in the air conditioning was just replaced and is ice cold. This is an automatic transmission but it also has a manual option where you can switch the gears yourself if you so choose. This is done without a clutch and is only there if you want it, otherwise it is fully automatic. There is a moon roof, leather seats, CD-cassette audio system with seven Bose speakers (including a subwoofer). The windows and drivers seat are also fully automatic. A Sirius radio is also included (built right into the dashboard) you just need to subscribe to the monthly service. The tires are still in excellent conditon and everything is working perfectly. There is also an automatic dimming mirror so at night there is no glare from other headlights. The mirror also has a compass built in. The back seats of course fold down and there are two handles right by the lift gate that allows you to easily disengage the seats and push them down. OK, I've given you all the pros but there are a few minor cons. The car is over all very nice on the outside and excellent on the inside but I don't have a garage so the car has stayed outside. (the garage you see in the pictures is a friend's, the registration ran out last month and there is no point in renewing it if I am selling it so she agreed to keep it in her driveway) There are some minor scratches and a very small dent on the hood. There is a small dent on the rear wheel well by the back passenger door. There are some noticeable scratches on the back bumper and there is also a crack on the bumper (see picture) where my mother backed into a fire hydrant. It is not major and has not affected the integrity of the bumper. There is also a crack on the plastic on the inside of the lift gate. The passenger mirror was knocked off at one point and has been reattached. It works fine but is slightly askew and has lost the plastic piece that snaps on to match the color of the car. You should be able to see everything I am talking about by looking at the pictures. I also recently noticed a small 1 inch rip along one of the seams of the drivers seat. Easily fixed with a strong needle and thread. None of these problems are at all major and are not very noticeable. To sum things up, this car is the best driving car I've ever owned. It handles better in bad weather than any other car I've ever driven and it handles really nice and smooth on the highway. Last year it started leaking oil after driving it down to my mother-in-law's in Alabama in that 105 degree heatwave. I think I pushed it too hard by driving 20 hours straight with the air conditioning on. On the way back it got worse but I didn't have it checked out and then a few weeks later I blew a cylinder. By that point my mechanic told me to replace the engine. After doing a great deal of searching I found Engine and Transmission world and found the exact motor I needed with less than half the mileage that my car has. The engine was installed very carefully and slowly over a period of two weeks and the guys who did it are not only excellent professional mechanics but they are also friends so I know it was done right. The car has run flawlessly since then (back in Jan.) Over the past year I've spent about $5000 to get the car to where it is now but I have 5 kids and our minivan is old so my wife talked me into getting a Pilot. This must go even though it's killing me to sell it after all the work that was put into it. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have and I will get back to you as quickly as possible.
