Vehicle Detail
I was raised Mopar and after fixing up a ’72 Satellite and a’71 Twister I bought this one owner car while in college in 1990. I drove it 5,000 miles and decided to fix the rust in the engine compartment in ’91 so I pulled the motor and dove into it. A small project turned into a big one as I continued back the car with improvements and repair. I made fair progress over the first 10 years but things came to a screeching halt when we had our first kid. So for the last 11 years progress on the car has nearly stalled only picking at it now and again while it sat in my garage. Still a Mopar Fan with my ’11 Ram but priorities have changed; I’ve decided to sell now. Highlighted Features: · Numbers matching car · Original 383 HP motor; highest output engine available in a 1970 Barracuda · Original Factory 8 ¾ SureGrip Posi Rear with 3.55 Gears · Subframe Connectors · Original Factory Slap Stick Shifter and all hardware · Reconditioned original Factory Radiator · New 3” exhaust system with NOS Exhaust Mufflers · Excellent condition Grille · Factory original Rally Wheels and trim rings · All original Factory glass · Factory original Power Steering Cooler · Exhaust thru rear pan · Factory original Bulge Hood and Hood Pins · Control arms rebuilt with new bushings and ball joints · Factory original Rally Dash This is a COMPLETE car including all bits of trim and brackets except the automatic transmission (blew up), and some black interior parts (was tan was converting to more available black). Includes many items not shown in attached photos ie) Bumpers, Bumper Brackets, Barburetor, Hood Hinges and springs, Trunk Hinges and torsion bar, Wheel Trim rings, Drive Shaft, Electrical Harnesses, Radiator, Glass, Exhaust system, Hood Latch, Heater box, Fuel tank, Original fuel and brake lines (for reference), Door Hinges, the list goes on and on.....it is a complete car. The Unibody is very solid. The undercarriage and rust affected areas of the unibody has gone thru ‘rotisserie’ style sandblast and paint treatment. Sheet metal rust repair work included Trunk Floor Pans, Trunk Extensions, Lower Quarters (below the side marker), Front of Rear Wheel repair to include inner Rocker and outer Rockers, Front and Rear Window Channels and Firewall repair. Floor pans in the passenger compartment are rust free and solid. Doors, Trunk and Hood are solid but need to be sandblasted. Fenders have had rust removed but need to be sandblasted, there is rust repair required behind front tires and along top of fender. The Fender VIN Tag was one of rust casualties but VIN on Cowl is present. Body panels are painted with PPG DP50LF Epoxy Primer, underbody is painted with undercarriage black PPG SP1202. Engine runs great and includes rebuilt and professionally tuned Carter AFB; together even with a Points distributor the motor provides sharp throttle response and great power at all rpms and speeds. I welcome and highly encourage a pre-sale inspection.Vehicle is sold ‘as is’ without warranty.I will not end this auction early.Vehicle is available for immediate delivery.
