Vehicle Detail

Please have the patience to read this completely and ask any and all questions before bidding. OK that said heres the deal...I bought this vehicle in spring, it was the biggest rip off anyone has ever endured. The seller lied and manipulated me into exceeding my protection parameters offered by ebay. When it came time for the car to be taken to shippers someone "tried to steal it" damaging ignition cylinder. I gave her time to get this fixed and the "mechanic didnt show up". That took 10 days. Then a family member had a heart attack, unfortunately I was sympathetic, as my father had just experienced the same, I believed her. She told me she could drive it to the shippers originally so except for the ignition cylinder it is supposed to be a running driving car. After more stall tactics and me canceling the transaction she calls me in tears and pays the difference for a non runner to be shipped verses a running car. Took another week and a half for it to be picked up then another week to transport and deliver. All this time I took this jerk at her word that I would "love the car". Her mom was the original owner who passed and she was just selling it, all maintenance records from 1969 included. She failed to mention the car has been parked for 12 years, infested with brown recluse and black widows. When we unloaded it I had to disconnect the transmission linkage and we pushed it off the top of a car carrier (18 wheeler) Look out no brakes...lucky no one hurt. Maintenance records are great if the mechanic isnt some hack. What a joke, any high school kid with an ounce of aptitude could do better! So youve got the basic idea. Whats been done is, new fuel sender unit, fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel filter, rebuilt all four wheel cylinders honed and kits installed, new master cylinder, brake shoes were all in great condition, plenty of meat. Drums all good, no pulsing. New ignition cylinder and steering wheel, horn kit. New ignition cam, this is what was really why it wouldnt turn over. Broken tooth wouldnt actuate ignition switch. Finally get the engine running and there is a bad ticking noise. And the carb leaks (stuck float). Screw it I went all in, new cam and lifters from comp cams,(mild) just one step up from stock not a "race cam" new double roller timing gears and chain. The original nylon coated cam gear was in prefect shape substantiating the 67000 mile claim. 2 Edelbrock 3406 600 cfm electric choke carbs on an Offenhauser dual quad intake, Lokar progressive linkage, twin chrome velocity stacks, new thermostat, heat sending unit, platinum plugs, accel wires, factory rebuilt distributor, MSD coil and ballast resistor, new belts and hoses. Found the bad lifter,Gobs of power now, new dual 2 inch exhaust with Thrush cherry bombs sound amazing. I got all the lights working, including 4 way flashers, the headlights do flip up and down. I started putting a radio in the dash and lo and behold a rust hole appears in the dash. Its big and is the only rust concern on the vehicle. All the power windows now work, I took door panels off and lubricated the snot out of everything, they were just stuck from sitting, they work very well. Speedo works, a/c has no charge but clutch actuates. Interior is BAD, holes in the seats headliner falling out, cracked dash. One dent on the front right bumper, and the chrome trim behind it.(have the trim replacement I will include) I will add as many pics as I can. I am pricing it as what I think its worth, not how much I can screw the other guy, like the crackhead I unfortunately bought it from. Car runs and drives and can be driven to shippers location or home if desired. Just ask me first. Please, this sale will be final so ask questions before committing yourself. Also I have removed what was left of the vinyl top exposing no significant rust. I have the am/fm original radio, and a working power antenna included,I may have time to install them but I doubt it. 2 front ashtrays as well as 2 big bins of spare bits and pieces. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel auctionOn Sep-03-12 at 18:26:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Hood scoop is not attached but is included. Pic 14 Its aluminum and very well made.On Sep-05-12 at 19:39:23 PDT, seller added the following information: I have installed a new front speaker 8 ohm and installed the am/fm radio. Repaired and reinstalled the original power antenna. The tip was broken off so I took one off a new cheap power antenna. Works very well, radio is clear as a bell. Ash tray is also in. Will post pic tomorrow. On Sep-09-12 at 13:29:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added a pic of all the spare bits included. Everything on the trailer will be in the trunk.Worthy of note are the visors, pillars, original rochester carb(needs rebuild), original air cleaner, chrome trim, hood scoop, and not pictured is the original intake manifold but is included. Thanks for all the interest.
