Vehicle Detail

If you've been looking for a clean, well build roadster, but didn't want to shell out 40k for one.... Look no further as this one here is the winning ticket. Although the word "Rat Rod" is listed in the title, it is only used to broaden the viewer base of this auction, as there is NOTHING "ratty" about this traditional hot rod. Below is what I know about this rig from creation to present: The car was originally built by James of Broken Light Customs (Google the business to see original pictures of the build or to contact James personally). From what I remember, this roadster actually was a coupe. It was then chopped and shortened. The door panels were taken from the roof of a 40's model Ford Truck. The 327 was taken from a 66 Malibu that an old lady had owned, and mated up to a 2-speed Powerglide transmission. The seat were taken from an 80's model Caravan. Steering wheel and column from a 51 Ford truck. The car was originally on air ride (rear only). About 3 years later the car was sold to a friend of mine on the east coast. He ripped it for about a year keeping the integrity of the original build. The only thing he changed was added Lakes pipes and a Cam. (See the last picture... its what it looked like when I took possession of it.) I bought it about 1.5 years ago. I loved the car and knew it had so much potential. I immediately started going to work. First stop was seeing Byron Spivey owner of SouthSide Kustoms in Wilmington, NC. Byron ran through the body. Replacing rusted panels, matching body lines, installed a 29 grill shell and totally reworked the windshield frame. From there we brought it back to the house where with the help of some friends we: Rewired most of the car Installed period correct dash and speedo Painted / resurfaced drums Custom Exhaust Custom wire wheels (16x4.5 front, 16x6 rear) Firestone Blackwalls Full custom interior to include rugs w/ heel pads Edelbrock aircleaner Installed rockguard Installed Griffin radiator (custom one-off radiator mounts by Bazooka Bernie) Installed 32 headlights Fabricated Drive Shaft Loops Push button start From there, I still wasn't satisfied, so I brought it down to my boy TBC Works in Fayetteville NC. TBC's owner Tim Bradham put the icing on the cake. Where the following was completed: Air ride, replaced with Ride Tech adjustable coil-overs (ride height set at 3.5") Custom one off shock brackets Full custom trunk Installed 11gal aluminum gas tank (internal baffles and gas gauge) Custom battery mount Installed Braille no-weight battery with remote terminals tucked in wheel well. Pinstripping by Jessie TO SEE A CINEMATIC VIDEO WE'VE JUST COMPLETED FEATURING THIS MODEL A GO TO: vimeo dot com / 48992693 The car is solid... YOU CAN DRIVE IT ANYWHERE. Opening price is MUCH lower than I have invested at this point. Please DON'T WASTE MY TIME, AS I PROMISE THAT I WON'T WASTE YOURS!!!! Have funds ready prior to contacting me.... NO TIRE KICKERS! Potential buyers are encouraged to see the car in person which is located in Raleigh, NC. Clear title. Car is titled as a 1928 Streetrod "Special Construction".
