Vehicle Detail
1961 Ford Ranchero Project Car. This is basically a paint and assemble project. Engine runs good. No leaks. Does not burn oil. I do not know how many miles are on it since rebuild. Has a C4 automatic transmition from 1965 Mustang. All I know of the transmission is that it was working in the Mustang it came out of. Frame is straight, body has no dents or misallignments. Interior has been stripped, but all trim, screws, etc are included. One of the doors has had paint removed, and has some surface rust that can be easily sanded. Privious owner replaced floor panels, so the floor is good. Some surface rust there also. Lot of new parts included. Seats are perfect. New Hurst console shift. New (complete) Nostalgic Air in dash A/C with vintage vents. New Carpet, and insulation (Dearborn Classics). New Door panels (Dearborn Classics). New Headliner insulation (Dearborn Classics). New Firewall insullation (Dearborn Classics). New Kick panels (Dearborn Classics). New Generator to Alternator conversion kit (Mac's Antique Auto). Shop Manual, Body manual. Really nice car for someone who has the time to put into it. Only thing I know it will need is new door weather strip, new windshield rubber, and new headliner. On Sep-06-12 at 19:50:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Had some question so here's a bit of clarification. The doors are not currently on the vehicle. I will add separate pictures of the doors. As stated in the main description, one of the doors has been stripped of paint and has some surface rust, but can be easily sanded. Local pick up only. I have the title, but it is from Ohio. DMV requires an application for Texas Certificate of Title. No additional cost, just one more piece of paper work. They also require the vehicle be weighed after assembly. This may not be necessary if registered as an antique. I will also supply a Bill of Sale. I have original wiring manual along with the other manual mentioned. 1961 Ford paint chip sample, 1961 Ranchero advertisement, and full installation instructions for the Hurst shifter and A/C.
