Presented in its factory Boxwood Green color (code P) This factory 2WD (code F10) truck is immaculate inside and out and runs as good as it looks. The powerful factory 300 L Inline 6 Cylinder engine (code B) was recently serviced. As the factory data plate and VIN reveal this is a R code which means it originally shipped to San Jose, CA in May 1968. New front and rear main seals were installed. The transmission was resealed. Prior to the recent maintenance the truck would drop a few nickel size drops of oil from the engine and transmission. In its present condition there are no leaks of any kind. Recent service also includes a new clutch, windshield, radiator flush and oil change. This classic all original classic is ready to hit the road and turn some heads! The recent detail inside and out has the paint glossy and shining like new. The tires are in good condition although mismatched. The bed of the truck has a spray in bed liner which was completed by the previous owner. Since we are not certain we can estimate that this truck was repainted at least once and it appears that there may have been a fender bender in the past. The passenger side fender reveals some red paint which tells us it may have been replaced in the past. The body is in otherwise great shape. The paint is great from the "20 footer" point of view but upon close inspection there is some peeling/chipping/wearing on the truck which can be seen in the photos below. The interior bench seat is in fantastic condition. The rubber flooring has seen better days but looks good for a mostly original 1968 truck. The steering wheel is cracked in the normal areas and could use some epoxy repair and paint. The dash is cracked but covered with a nice custom fit dash cover. The windshield had a large bulls-eye in it so we replaced it with a brand new one. The headliner is cracked in the middle and could be replaced. As with most classic Ford trucks hundreds of aftermarket, OEM and NOS parts are available. We readily acquired all of the engine seals that were replaced at the local auto parts store since engine parts for Ford trucks are readily available. All of the headlights and turn signals operate as they should. Both driver and passenger windows and vent windows also operate as they should. The front and rear bumpers appear to be factory original as does the rest of the truck. With two taps of the gas pedal the engine fires right up every time and the 3 speed manual on the column shifts smoothly through the gears. This is the perfect hot rod project or concours restoration project. This is a beautiful classic Ford Truck with no rust issues of any kind. It is ready to enjoy the day it is purchased. The odometer reads 58,284 miles but the Arizona title clearly indicates that the actual mileage is exempt. This is a private party consignment sale so Arizona residents pay no sales tax.
