It is definitely more then capable of doing a cross country trip. I will be taking more pics of the car and will add them ASAP. The car is for sale locally, and therefore seller reserves the right to cancel this listing at any time. There are just a few things that make this car unique and one of only about 50 or so here in the United States. It is powered by a Mercedes engineered turbo diesel that is well known for lasting hundreds of thousands of miles. This euro-spec version has been in production since 1998 and has been proven dependable. I can easily achieve 55 to 60 mpg and hits speeds of 75+ comfortably on the freeways. The transmission has a select switch for either Automatic or Tiptronic (no clutch manual). Unlike the 2nd generation US models, it also has 6 speeds instead of the 5. Having disclosed that the car is a grey market car, please check your DMV to ensure it will title in your state. I have a clear Ohio title and will pass it on to the buyer. In addition to Ohio, I'm aware of these Smart cdi's in Florida, Tennessee, Iowa, Indiana, Colorado, Arizona, Michigan, and Kentucky. If you live in a state not listed, please check with your DMV or local title office to find out the procedures for titling gray market cars in your state. If you happen to live in a state that does not allow for this car (like California for example), please contact me first before getting too discouraged. I have read online of certain legal ways to get this car possibly through. Also, if financing the car, ensure your lender will finance it without a "blue book" value or NADA. About this car specifically, The car has new Continental tires on all 4 wheels. Also, this car has a very professional window tint installed. The air conditioning works just as it did when new and blows cold. It does have the panoramic glass roof with sliding sun shield. Other features are power windows and locks. It is a keyless entry with 2 keys. The car is located in South Central Pennsylvania however I travel once a week to Columbus, Ohio and so can show the car to prospective buyers in either location. I will gladly show the car and allow test drives but please contact me well in advance first. Also, being retired military, I do have a bit of free time to deliver the car providing my expenses are covered (hotel, food, return airfare and I'll pick up the fuel *grin). Discovered that when I placed the listing on a previous Smart I sold, I didn't quite make enough changes to represent the current car. In one place, I referred to the car as a "convertible" which, of course by the pics you can tell it is not. Also, mentioned the car has "NO RESERVE". Ebay will not allow me to remove the reserve or set it below the current high bid, so I will change the Reserve to $8,102, $1 higher then the current high bid.
