Vehicle Detail
Do you know a good paint guy? How about an upholstery guy? Of course you do – we all do! Haven’t you been looking for a high end hot rod project that is mechanically complete, but just needs your personalization? Well, look no more! Why get an outdated rod that is purple with graphics and a tweed interior (unless you like it) that you will have to redo when you can start with a fresh, running car? I purchased this project out of Texas and was going to finish it myself, but unfortunately cannot. There was $47,278 worth of documented parts in the car when I bought it. Since then we have taken it completely apart and powder-coated the frame and then meticulously put it all back together so that the end result is a fresh build. It runs strong and straight, shifts smooth and has all of the horsepower that you would need. There is over $70,000 invested in parts and labor in this street rod to get it to this point. It is what you would have to spend if you opened the TCI catalog and started from scratch – You can have it for less than half of that price now! The previous owner has a record book that summarizes all of the parts as well as the associated manuals and original receipts. This is the best project you could buy in the US today. If you are interested, please email me for videos that I took walking around the car and driving it. I encourage you to stop by and see it. Here is a summary of the items that make up this car: · Steel reinforced fiberglass Gibbon 1933 3 Window Coupe, chopped and channeled with mini-tubs. One of the best on the market. · TCI frame model 1427B with the registration tags (C791). · Professionally rebuilt 427 with Edelbrock aluminum heads, Wiseco pistons, Crower cam, and a Kuhl 671 supercharger. Everything is polished. All belts and hoses are new. Totally street prepped motor and frame set-up. Not dyno'd, but guessing +/-600 Horsepower. · Dual Holley carbs. · MSD ignition with adjustable timing. · TH400 transmission with a smoothed and painted aluminum case, trans cooler, Lokar shifter. · Inland Empire aluminum drive shaft. · 9” Ford rear end with 3.73 gears and Strange axles. · Wilwood disk brakes all the way around. · New large late ’32/early ’33 polished stainless steel headlights. · Vintage Air - heating and air conditioning kit. Has the condenser, vents, etc. all parts, but not hooked-up. · Glide Engineering charcoal leather seat with cardboard door and trunk panels for mock-up. Temporary carpet kit installed. · Lecarra Banjo steering wheel with black leather wrap and matching banjo door handles. · Painless wiring kit. Electric window motors work, but are not hooked-up. Has rear and side glass, but no windshield. Has polished billet frame, but not installed in case you want to go with a different look. · Center mounted fuel tank and battery. · Flaming River chrome steering box. · Griffin aluminum radiator with A/C and electric fan. Valley ($2,000) polished grille with original commemorative brass coin hood ornament that marks the 30 year anniversary of Ford (1903-1933) and integrated turn signals. · Brand new Classic All American Nickel gauges - all hooked-up and working. · Brand new rear coil over shocks. · Deuce Factory dropped front axle. · This rod takes bigs and littles to an extreme! The rear wheels are the largest Torq Thrust II’s at 20” x 9.5” with Nexen P275/40R20 high performance tires. The front wheels are 15” x 4.5” with the smallest high performance General P175/65R15 tires that have a matching tread pattern. Please email me if you have any questions. I will be available Labor Day Weekend to show you this great project rod.
