You are bidding on a custom built 1943 Ford truck. This truck is a driver, turn key, go anywhere. The chassis is all custom built for this truck to give it the low stance without taking up all the cab space. Do do this, we Z'd the front 8" and the back 20". The front frame rails taper from 6" to 3". Sides are made out of 1/8" plate, top and bottom are 1/4" plate. The pipes go from 5 1/2" to 3", scheule 40 wall. From the firewall back is 2x3 box steel 1/8" wall. Frame is plated and gusseted all the way around. There are 4 cross members with a removable transmission cross member. Front suspension is a posi-leafspring with shocks and Superbell 4" dropped and drilled I-beam with '43 Ford wishbones, drilled-out. Disc brake kit is from Speedway. It has 3 3/4 dropped steering arms with all new steering drag bars, fully adjustable. This truck has cowl steering with custom drilled out arm. Rear suspension is custom built, 3-link, with pan hard bar. The axle is a '92 Chevy Blazer with drum brakes. It sits on coil springs and shocks giving this truck a smooth ride. The motor is a 350 Chevy with small cam to give it that low idle lope. Valve covers are stock GM 327. We hid the PCV valves in the back of them to keep a smooth look without pushing out the seals. The intake is a street and strip Holley high-rise with Holley 600 cfm carburetor with scoop all new. The distributer is MSD HEI with MSD wires. The exhaust manafolds are stock GM with custom pipes to give this truck a perfect sound. The transmission is a 700 R4 and has a balanced drive shaft. it has a '66 mustang aluminum radiator with trans. cooler. 16" electric fan. Custom built upper and lower radiator hoses. Stock GM waterneck. Custom overflow tank. The cab has been chopped 5"and custom built bommer-style wind shield frame with real safety glass was installed. The floor has been channeled 3" with all new 1x1 sub floor with 16 gauge sheet metal. The bed has been shortened 16" and narrowed 10" with 1x1 sub frame with custom wood floor. The gas tank is out of a Sears boat that holds 18 gallons, so you can wait for your buddies at the next gas station. The grill is a '32 Ford with custom insert and custom dents. The head lights are 1930 Ford Model A with a 12 V hallogen kit. The tail lights are Harley Davidson rear marker lights modified to brake and tail lights. Interior of the cab has a custom built bench seat newly wrapped, 2 cup holders, custom dash insert with oil pressure and water temp. and '30 model A speedo. The shifter is a Lokar 30". It has a spoon gas pedal to make it go and a stock GM master cylinder mounted under the cab to make it stop, all new. All the wiring is on fuses and relays and is new through-out the vehicle. Fuse box and relays are mounted in the glove box and the battery under the dash for easy access, because when we're building these rods, we want to make it so anyone can do hassel-free regular maintenance. Rear wheels are 15x10 with Mickey Thompson slicks, new. Front wheels are 27 Model T 21x3. This truck has been all hard lined with copper tube to keep the clean look. Since this truck has been built, we have put around 600 miles on it by taking it to car shows and just crusing.
