1978 VW Westfalia -GRANDPA’S CAMPMOBILE- 3 DAYS, NO RESERVE, HIGH BIDDER WINS! This 1978 Volkswagen Westfalia was purchased new in January 1978 from Napa Volkswagen BMW. It comes with all its original pedigree documents from day one including, all manuals and warranty books and even the SALESMAN'S BUSINESS CARD FROM 1978! It was repainted once in the 1980’s and has a nice original patina to it. This Camper is in nice OG condition throughout and ROCK SOLID. I was told it has only logged 127k miles since new! It still retains its original California Blue plates since new! This is the one you have been searching for. I purchased this Westfalia from an elderly gentleman, who owned it for years. It has always been treated like a member of the family. The original exterior and interior are decent for being 34 years old, of course it has a few minor battle scars over the years; that’s what gives it the character it sports today. The front and rear seats have covers and could use new seat covers to be show quality. The poptop canvas has a few small tears and that’s it. The good news is all the floors, rockers, and doglegs are SOLID and untouched. The bus has its correct 2.0 Fuel Injected engine that runs and drives great. It’s fun and easy to drive, so anyone can drive her. It comes with all curtains, mosquito net and iceboxes to keep things fresh while camping with the family. All the lights and blinkers are working as they should. You will be HARD-PRESSED to find another 1978 Westfalia like this one. While in my care, it has undergone all necessary needs to create and preserve its originality and reliability to its highest potential. It runs and drives great! It's hard to believe the beautiful condition of this all-original 34-year-old Westfalia. All the gaps and panels are factory German perfect.
