Vehicle Detail
1970 Plymouth Roadrunner clone with 440 engine and 727 auto trans, Engine is a mid 70's 440 that runs exceptionally smooth. Engine is all stock with the exception of a 750 Holley vacuum secondary carb. Also has dual exhaust and sounds ok for glass packs. I'm not a glass pack lover. I installed a new alternator, so the charging system is up to snuff and won't leave you stranded at the Dairy Queen. The front rims are 15 x6 and the rear are 15 x 7. Tires are B.F.Goodrich all around and the front are new and the rear are older with alot of tread on them. So you won't need to put tires on this one. I did replace the front wheel cylinders and brake lines and hoses on the front of the car. This car runs and drives down the road good and is what I call a 20 footer. It looks good from 20 feet away, and when you get closer, you realize it needs some work. The car gets alot of attention and compliments everywhere it goes and for some reason, the 70 model is very hard to find in any shape, let alone running condition where you can drive and enjoy it. Car is mostly complete and won't leave you chasing alot of parts. You can drive and fix this one or restore it completely to make it super nice. That will be up to you. Keep in mind this car is over 40 years old and does have rust and is not a show car or trailer queen. The rear frame rails in the trunk area are going to need attention. Looks like it will need the rear section in area. Over the wheel wells forward are ok. It also has some rust in the outer section of the crossmember area by the rocker panels. Torsion bars are in good shape as is the front frame rails. This car is for sale locally and may be pulled to sell before auction ends. Don't miss your chance at this hard to find car! I'm including a link to the car running and a walk around the car. Check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwHGyfZqu1A&feature=context-cha There is a non-refundable $500.00 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end and full payment within 7 days. No exceptions. Do not bid if you don't intend to buy. These listings are not cheap, so don't waste my time and I won't waste yours. I have told everything about this car I can remember and may have forgot something so be realistic about the car. If you would like to know anything else or see the car before you buy, call me at 513-289-5307 and ask for John between the hours of 12 noon and up to 2 a.m. I work 2nd shift so no early calls! Thanks! Good luck! Addendum: I will knock off $500.00 if the winning bidder doesn't want these wheels and tires. I robbed them off my 68 Charger and will have to get new ones. So it will be your option to decide and bring your own wheels and tires.
