Vehicle Detail

HELLO TO ALL. THIS IS MY PERSONAL DRIVER THAT I'VE ENJOYED FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS. IT'S NOT A 100 POINT RESTORED SHOW CAR BUT A GOOD LOOKING DRIVER WITH A LOT OF WORK DONE ON IT AND DEFINITELY HAS EXCELLENT EYE APPEAL. YOU CAN DRIVE IT ANYWHERE. Many more additional pictures available at this link below: http://www.webeautos.com/detail-1967-ford-mustang-for_sale-used-9071189.html The fellow that had the car before me was a collector just like me and basically he took care of the mechanical aspects of the car, including tune-up, new radiator, new water pump, brake overhaul, and top end motor rebuild within the last few years. I was left with everything else, so in my spare time, my husband and I redid the car in our garage. Paint/bodywork was sent out to be done professionally and it came out very presentable for a good driver. Interior was decent to begin with, so we put a new dash pad and had the front driver's seat reupholstered, and installed Pony floormats. Outside, the car received some new chrome trim, was dressed with some GT options, had a set of styled steel wheel covers with pony caps installed and newer tires. It is equipped with some nice options: OPTIONS: Power steering Power drum brakes Power convertible top Remote driver's side mirror 14" steel wheels with STYLED STEEL WHEEL COVERS with PONY caps, wearing whitewall radial tires 289ci C-CODE V8 motor C4 automatic transmission GT appearance package (lower body stripe, fog lights, flip-down gas cap) Body is very nice and straight with very few waves in it. Doors open and close nicely. Gaps are all good from what I could see and panel fit is pretty good overall for a 60s car. Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great. Transmission shifts seamlessly without any major synchro noises and a good clutch. Now as for driving the car, i've taken it out mostly around the neighborhood here and there for a few functions, every once in a while I take it to a local cruise night. Transmission shifts great, brakes work nicely, steers very well and overall I would feel confident taking the car anywhere. Motor is the factory C-CODE 289ci with 2bbl. carburetor and virtually all stock other than a few replacement service parts. Sounds very good and I've had my mechanic check it for compression and the like, which all seemed good. Basically all stock with NO upgrades or modifications. Like I said, you could get in and drive this car anywhere in my opinion. I've taken it out of state several times and it has never let me down. Interior is presentable for a driver as you can see. No real eye sores, but could use minor freshening up on the dash, passenger front seat and wherever else you feel it needs work. Underside is typical for a mustang. Floors appear to have been replaced at one time not too long ago as they are solid throughout. Shock towers look pretty decent. Torque boxes were patched and look good and in one piece. Front frame rail extensions had rust that was patched with metal and they are solid now and structurally sound. Some scaly surface rust and some old undercoating peeling in a few places, but that's about it from what I can tell. Fairly presentable underneath but should really be redone properly to do it justice. THIS MUSTANG IS NOT PERFECT, SO PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURES, ASK QUESTIONS OR COME SEE IT IN PERSON. Paint is in GOOD shape and cleans up nicely. Was professionally done by local bodyshop and has good shine and luster but is NOT a $10k show quality paintjob by any means. Not working: fog lights (not connected), horn, and perhaps a gauge or two needs recalibrating. Underside will need some work as I've described earlier. So overall she is nowhere near perfect and will need some form of TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. If you just want a NICE DRIVER needing minor tlc, this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some serious investment to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO. AT THE VERY LEAST TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE ADDITIONAL PICTURES ON THE LINK ABOVE.
