Completely restored, driven approximately 4,000 miles since restoration was completed in Feb. 2012 Brakes and suspension: New front calipers New front rotors and wheel bearings All new brake hoses and some new hard pipe as well New fluid reservoir and hoses New master cylinder Pedal box removed, rebuilt, repainted and reinsulated New brake assist vacuum hose and check valve New ball joints, new control arms, new sway bar bushings front and rear Strut bearings removed cleaned and serviced. (struts and shocks are not original and were replaced by a previous owner still in perfect shape) New rear wheel cylinders New rear brake shoes, drums turned All CV joints removed disassembled, serviced and new boots Differential cleaned externally, drained and new gear oil New axel carrier mounts New tires, powder coated wheels, lug nuts and stainless trim rings Drive train: 1. Fresh, professionally rebuilt engine originally installed in a BMW 318i 2nd generation (E30) built in 1984. 2. New starter 3. Clutch was inspected and cleaned up at the time of engine replacement and it was determined to be in fine shape. 4. New clutch slave cylinder 5. New drive shaft, center bearing, and flex disc (guibo) 6. New transmission mount, new bushings on shift arm 7. New gas pedal, repaired and resealed fuel tank 8. New fuel filler neck 9. New electric fuel pump to accommodate new engine 10. Rebuilt Weber carburetor 11. New fire wall insulation and repaint of engine bay 12. Full 4 wheel alignment 13. New steering wheel from a 320i (very nice upgrade from original) 14. New steering column flex disc 15. All new cooling system hoses, new thermostat AC and heat 1. All new AC hoses and dryer 2. Compressor is not the original and was replaced by a previous owner, I drained it cleaned it and added new ester oil, system had already been converted to 134A refrigerant 3. Evaporator coil and box was removed, cleaned and reinsulated. 4. Heater coil was cleaned, repaired and pressure tested, fan motor was cleaned up and serviced, heater box was cleaned and reinsulated. All the speeds work correctly and provide good air volume. Lighting and electrical: 1. New head light, marker, turn signal and taillight bulbs 2. All fixtures were cleaned, buckets repainted and tail light reflector bases re- chromed for proper illumination 3. New door light switches 4. New dome light 5. Instrument panel removed cleaned and re-lamped 6. New license plate light fixtures, license plate frame was removed primed and repainted 7. All of the wiring harnesses were re-wrapped with black cloth friction tape except under the dashboard where fleece tape was used to prevent vibration noise Body and exterior trim: 1. All trim including bumpers was removed from the car for body repairs and repaint 2. Doors, trunk lid, hood and all glass was removed, interior was striped. 3. All body components were primed with a 2K primer and painted with base coat clear coat in the original Baikal Metallic color. 4. All the trim was buffed out and reinstalled with new clips 5. The lower molding is new, belt line trim is original 6. Bumpers were scratched badly so they were sanded down and clear coated 7. Bumper shocks were removed, cleaned up and repainted and given new shock boots as well. 8. All door and glass seals were replaced including wing vent seals and rear quarter glass seals 9. New windshield 10. New door check stops 11. Windshield wiper system was removed, cleaned and repainted. The motor was cleaned and serviced. Wiper arms were repainted and new blades installed. 12. Windshield washer spray jets were replaced along with a new washer fluid pump and fluid lines 13. New hood insulation 14. Any rusted floor pan areas were cut out and replaced with new metal, then seam sealed. 15. The under body was cleaned, and then re-sprayed with the correct Wurth undercoating to match the original and then repainted the body color as it would have left the factory Interior: 1. New carpet and sound barrier 2. Seat padding was replaced by an earlier owner and is the OEM style but is all in excellent condition. 3. All of the vinyl was apparently replaced at the same time and is a light grey or taupe color in excellent shape including the door panels. 4. New door cards and hat tray 5. All of the window regulator and related assembly was removed, cleaned and lubricated along with the door lock mechanisms 6. Seat belts were removed and thoroughly cleaned and reinstalled 7. New modern radio with ipod jack and flash drive installed 8. New speakers 9. New antenna 10. New headliner 11. New sunroof cables
