Vehicle Detail
Beautiful Porsche 911/993 conversion from a 1978 SC to a 1996 993 Carerra. 22000 miles on completly rebuilt Eurospec engine, which provides greater horsepower than domestic version. All receipts from conversion come with car. Has been stored for roughly 5 years and brought out of storage in Spring of 2011 and driven very seldom since. Car runs great but will likely need wheel balance as it appears the balancers have fallen off two of the two driver side wheels and a "shimmy" can be felt at around 60-70 mph. Interior includes power leather seats and high-end sound system complete with two amplifiers and subwoofer which makes the car extremely loud but crystal clear. Amps and subs can easily be removed for a more traditional look. This car looks absolutley stunning and there is indistinguishable from a 1996 993 which costs tens of thousands of dollars more. Email with questions as there is too much to list. Thanks! On Aug-17-12 at 13:34:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Husband (it's his car) told me: Car's paint is in good shape with the usual light surface scratches and could use good waxing, buffing and "clay bar". (whatever the hell that is) He said there was one light "scratch/crack?" or something on car by back left window about 4" but he said it can be easily fixed. Says last summer when he took it out of storage after 5 years (bought in 2005) it would stall intermittently so the following parts were replaced, with receipts: Perma-Tune ignition module, Accel ignition coil, Bosche alternator, Duralast (I think) battery, and fuel relay switch. Since then no problems with stalling. Never drives it so there have been times when it has sat for a week and when he tries to start it it takes a few cranks. Also, there have been times when it has sat for 3 or more weeks and needs to be jump started. He says this is due to having "two huge stereo amplifies (one for speakers and one for the two removable subs in back seat ) with "Farad caps" that can drain battery if it hasn't been driven in a while." (System is VERY LOUD and sounds good but is more for a "younger person") Comes with "Moma" steering wheel and "racing seat belts"?? Great car but we have other priorites. My (his wife's) opinion: Looks great but I notice when you get real close you can see "swirl marks" that you see on some black paint that show up more when it is washed but not waxed. Again, he insists the swirl marks will "buff out" but I don't know what that means so I can only give you a woman's opinion. Car does look real nice when washed and waxed but hard to keep black paint clean. I have to add that people have stopped him at traffic lights to tell him how nice the car is. When I went to get insurance on it and he told me it was a "1978" I seriously didn't believe him until he showed me the title. It honestly looks like the new ones. Also the insurance on it is, I believe $100?, for six months so real cheap, but husband has no tickets too. Hope this helps!
