Vehicle Detail

Numbers matching BMIHT Certificate # 2011/24842 Car/Chassis# H-BJ8-L/33865 Engine# 29K/RU/H8645 Body# 78783 The car as a whole and paint job shows nicely. It is straight, rust free and runs beautifully. The engine is in top tune as is the overdrive. The underbody is equally clean and sound. This a great local west coast car to have and enjoy. It features the desirable roll-up windows with an easy to operate convertible top. The interior is red and the dash is walnut burl with a lockable glove box. Regarding the BJ8, here is what I have to share in simple form- I bought this BJ8 from a friend that I have known from many years while I was living in the Bay Area. • California car and it has 26k miles. • Solid ownership history with two owners for the past (Approx.) 25 years. • It was fully restored about 13 years ago. • Almost all the work was done by 2 British car specialists in the Bay Area. Collins Classics in Burlingame and British Car Specialists in Stockton. • I bought it while it was at Collins Classics (in SF) for service and inspection. • The compression is 125 to 140 across the board. • The hydraulic system replaced, compression and tune-up was done while Collins Classics this past Nov. • British motor industry heritage trust paperwork • Overdrive works very well. • Chrome 72 spoke wheels • Red Interior is in great shape • All electrical works and in great shape. • I bought it from Paul Furlong owner of 13 years in in bay area. Retired and moved to TX. Paul bought it from his collector friend Richard Maine who restored it and also owned a few Healey's. • Confirmed with Steve Byers Official Healey registrar/record keeper for BJ8s • Overall the car is in top tune and fantastic mechanical condition. Transmission shifts smoothly, accurate clutch and brakes on a dime. I love driving it. • Body is very straight • Doors jams line up and shut nicely. • I do have a folder of receipts.
