Taking just over 700 hours to compete, replacing the majority of the hoses, wires/wiring, lines, seals and gaskets, fuel/brake lines, e-brake cables...this amazing car is practically brand spanking new! The floor boards were all replaced. There is no rust on this car. The underbody was stripped and painted during restoration. Motor: Rebuilt 1968 302 with 351C heads that puts out about 300hp. Brand new Holly 600 carb and a polished aluminum high-rise intake manifold. Upgraded to single-wire chrome 120. Power Steering: Brand new with aluminum pulley and bracket. The power steering system was also rebuilt. Ignition System: Entire ignition system is brand new. Radiator: Brand new 3 row aluminum radiator to keep her cool in the hot summer. Transmission: A great shifting C-4 with new seals. Steam cleaned and painted with new chrome oil/ transmission pans. Engine Bay: Bay was stripped down to bare metal and painted to match the exterior including the stripes. Roof*: Made of fiberglass with the lightweight Lexan window, it weighs approx. 50lbs. I looked for months for the right convertible but everything I found was rusted out so I ended up converting a rust- free coupe. The frame is beefed up with inner and outer reinforcement kits and is solid. If you would like to see a link to how this is done let me know. The soft top is manual with glass rear window Wheels: Rear, 17X9 275X40. Front, 245X45 Eleanor wheels with Falken Z rated tires. Custom Interior: The Shelby style dash is real aluminum. The console is custom-built including working gages and speakers. The aluminum is vinyl over metal. The seats are custom-made black and silver sport seats. They look stock at first glance but they fit you like a modern seat. The seatbelts are black and chrome and the stereo is a Route 66 classic design. It has a custom MP3 attachment that can be accessed through the ash tray. Thank you very much for looking. The car is available for showing and test drive with proof that you can close the deal.
