Vehicle Detail

1969 Firebird Coupe, 4 speed, 400 engine I bought this car with the idea of making a RestoMod The car had been garaged for the last 6 years by the previous owner who had purchased the following New items. New 18” wheels and tires, 225/40 front and 245/40 rear and they clear the fenders at the stock ride height. I also have 4 used Rally II 15” wheels with trim rings and center caps with good tires (2-215/70 and 2-225/70) that could be substituted for the 18” setup or will sell them separately. New Hooker ceramic coated headers and complete Flowmaster exhaust. New Equus Volts, Oil pressure, and Temp gauges. Oil pressure after warmed up is 35 psi idle and 55-60 psi driving. New power steering hoses. New Holley 4160, 600 CFM electric choke carburetor. New Black interior kit consisting of seat covers, door & quarter panels, headliner, sail panels, package tray, and some extra material. Partially installed but easily removed during paint and body work. New roof rail (installed but snaps out) and trunk weatherstripping (not installed). New starter and alternator. New front fenders (1 not installed yet) and trunk lid. New Hurst Shifter with rebuilt 4 speed and new clutch. New Battery New shocks The bulletproof 400 fires up on first or second try after patting the gas 2 or 3 times, even after sitting for weeks. I think it must be rebuilt with few miles in the last few years because of how clean the heads are when the oil filler cap is removed. Has HEI ignition and vacuum advance works. The power steering is quick ratio and very tight & smooth. Later model tilt steering column. The brakes pull a little. Parking brake center cable missing. Seat belts are missing. All the lights and gauges work except the dash lights when headlights are on and the dash turn signals don't work even though the exterior turn signals do. Wipers work. Heater blower does not work, New Equus Volts, Oil pressure, and Temp gauges under center dash. Oil pressure after warmed up is 35 psi idle and 55-60 psi driving. The windows roll up/down smoothly, doors, trunk and hood operate well. Dashpad is cracked and glove box cardboard is missing. Glass is nice except windshield has wiper mark. Trunk lock is missing. Have ignition keys but not door keys. Have kick panels, plastic trim around inside windshield, back window and above doors. Have the headrests (the seat covers have not been cut for them). All the stainless trim is nice except the rear window hockey sticks are slightly dented (available from many vendors). Have new in box front chrome bumper/grill. Rear bumper chrome is failing. Taillight lenses in good shape, but parking lights are cloudy. The front bumper/grill area needs some new parts. The plastic/rubber bezels around the headlights and the bumper top spacer are cracked and would be better to replace than try to repair. Many vendors have all these parts at reasonable prices. The trunk pan is rusty and could be patched, but at $99 a new trunk floor would be the best solution. The 400 hood is in good condition. The drivers door has some rust on the inner bottom that could easily be patched. A number of extra small parts are included. VIN 223379N112600 Engine code 0291136, XZ (I think this is a 70 model 330HP from a full size Pontiac) Body Tag ST69 22337 NOR706915 BDY TR 206 5959 PNT 09D This car could be a daily driver with seat belts and restore as you drive it. I decided not to spend any more money since I was going to modify the car. This lets the new owner get the car at a lower cost and then they can decide to keep it original or RestoMod. I am selling because I have 6 project cars and plan to sell 3 of them. I am listing this for a friend. Please contact Steve at 205-422-8967 or senginc@yahoo.com with questions. My sale policy is simple, a $200 deposit is required within 24 hours. If you don't want the car when you come to pick it up you only forfeit the small deposit to cover my ad expense. The State of Alabama does not issue titles for vehicles of this age. A notarized bill of sale will be furnished.
