As I'm sure most of you know, The Quadrifoglio is the "Top of the Line" Spider offered in 1998. Three versions were available way back then, the "Graduate", the "Spider Veloce'", and the "Quadrifoglio". They only came in 3 colors, Silver, Red and Black. All 3 had the special wheels, ground effects, and hard top, along with the Stunning Gray leather seating with bright red carpets. A/C that still blows cold, and power windows were also standard along with power mirrors. Ours was recently traded to us on a late model Saab convertible by the second adult enthusiast owner. He tells me that he purchased it from the original lady owner who saw it at the new car show here in Pittsburgh back in '88 and "Had to have it". Aparantly it was her baby, as she kept it for 22 years until the second owner talked her out of it in 2010. Judging by it's wonderful, unmolested and rust free condition, it was probably always garaged. It still retains it's books, tools, original Clarion Anti-Theft AM FM Stereo Cassette radio, factory tonneau cover, and even the cloth cover to protect the rear window!!. It runs and drives fantastic with working Cold Air Conditioning, AND good syncros in all 5 forward speeds!!!! Alfa lovers everywhere get weak in the knees when one like this becomes available. A (Almost)One lady owned, example that was apparently treated like one of the family! Examples like this one are unheard of! Please note that when the second owner purchased the car in 2010, someone "Guessed" at the mileage, and recorded 60,200 on the application for title. He assured us the the mileage on the odometer IS correct, and that this was just a mistake(happens quite often....they are too lazy to look at the car and just guess!!). We have a Pa title that reads 60,200 actual miles on the front. It will "Catch up" in about 300 miles. No big deal, but we wanted to disclose what we know. Also the tires on this car are OLD!!!! I would not recommend any long distance driving until they are replaced. I've decided NOT to replace them, as the new owner can decide what brand the he/she would prefer. Good Luck with Your Bidding!! Our Gorgeous 1988 Black Spider was purchased new at The Auto Palace right here in Pittsburgh, then an authorized Alfa Romeo dealer. They are still in business today, and are now an authorized Porsche dealer. You can tell by the condition of the bright and shiny paint that this Beauty was Always Garaged and Pampered!! Note the rear spolier, unique to the Veloce' and the Quadrifoglio. The Black paint Just Glistens in the sun. Pretty much the same way it did 24 years ago!! The rear quarter panels are a bit mis-matched and are thin in a few places. Our detailer burned though here and there while buffing, and did some light brush touching. There are A few minor nicks and scratches from normal usage, but certainly nothing to deter from the Beauty and Originality of This Gorgeous Alfa!! Note the reflection In this Photo you can see that the soft top appears to be original, and is slightly faded from years of exposure, a true testament to it's ownership and provenance. The plastic rear window is still Crystal Clear! The front spoiler is in excellent condition, considering this Alfa is 24 years old! . Gorgeous!!! I believe that this was the most Luxurious Alfa Spider ever built. Everywhere you look there is a special attention to detail and craftsmanship!! The sumptuous leather interior is in fantastic condition and is certainly commensurate with the low mileage and excellent care our Gorgeous Quadrifoglio has seen throughout its 24 year life. The leather is totally original with no dying done anywhere(there is a slight tear in the side of the drivers seat that we will try and have repaired on Friday). Even the carpets look like they have never been stepped on. They are only Original Once!!! Nice and Clean here too!! One small crack in the dash. No Smoking allowed!!! How many of these are left....and still work perfectly?????! It's all still here....just like it was in 1988. Truly a Pampered and Pedigreed Alfa Spider!
