Up for sale is a classic 1973 Ford Ranger XLT Pick Up Truck in exceptional condition. This is the only 73 XLT truck I have seen with an XLT hood ornimate !! This vehicle has only just under 83K original miles. I have maintained this vehicle and everything works except the secondary gas tank that needs the neck tube replaced....the seat tank is fine and working. This truck came from the factory with a vinyl type roof, (a rare accessory), cold air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, factory trailer brake unit and a sliding rear window. This truck is rust free, with very good paint, and very good tires. The bed is covered with a locking camper shell that was put on this truck immediately after bought in 1973, so the bed has never been open to the weather. The bed has shiny paint on the wheel wells and sides, the bed is covered with an indoor/outdoor carpet with a rubber backing that has protected it very well too!! The truck has also been equipped with an after market block heater and an interior cab heater as the original owner lived in a northern state. I have owned this truck aprox. 8 years and have maintenance records since 2004. I replaced the A/C compressor last year, and it blows cold. There is a locking tool compartment on the passengers side of the bed, with chrome everywhere !! This is the only Ranger XLT pick up that I have seen with an "XLT" hood ornament !! This truck is very solid mechanically and body wise....Everything is factory, with the exception of the radio speaker and head liner (which looks factory). This truck does have a small dent on the hood where a basketball goal blew over onto it....there is no cracking of the paint though and the dent is small (see front photo, just left of the hood ornimate). The tailgate has some scratching too, from light duty use....otherwise, a great, clean, solid, antique truck with lots of chrome to dazzle the pedestrians !!
