Vehicle Detail
This is my 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible GT. The vehicle was bought from a Ford dealership in Denver 46 years ago by my grandfather and I acquired it from him about 10 years ago. The car is truly in incredible original condition, primarily because it has been garaged its entire life by one family. I have had several classic car enthusiasts and mechanics tell me that this Mustang is one of the very best originals they have ever seen. Truth be told, I'm not a car specialist and do not know as much as I should about my Mustang, but I do know that, unfortunately, I must part with it this Summer for financial reasons. The car has never been restored in any fashion and has been well maintained and driven lightly, especially as of late. To my knowledge, the ONLY un-original items on this car are the front lap seat belts which were purchased after market (I still have the originals) and the convertible top. A look under the body of the vehicle will tell you quickly how well maintained it has been - very little rust. Cosmetically, there are some scratches and dings in the paint and the interior clearly shows wear. Don't get me wrong, this car is in great shape for an original, but this is not an immaculate restored car, it is nearly 50 years old! Occasionally the car can be cranky to start and there is a leak underneath, I believe radiator fluid. All the bells and whistles still work great including original AM radio, power top, etc. I've never sold a car on eBay before, so if I have omitted something obvious or you have any questions at all, just email me. I am very responsive. Thank you for taking a look. TermsMy goal has been to describe this vehicle accurately, but no guarantees are made. This car is not restored or in "show" quality and likely has imperfections that may not appear in the photos, such as small scratches, chips, dings etc. I advise, if possible, that you see the vehicle in person before you bid or purchase. Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with shipment, delivery or pickup of the vehicle. Buyer is responsible for all taxes, fees, and/or other costs associated with transfer of ownership. A non-refundable 10 % deposit must be paid within 48 hours and the balance must be paid within 5 days. Once full payment is received, I will provide clear title, bill of sale, and any additional forms to be filled out and signed. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time for any reason. On Aug-10-12 at 22:09:57 PDT, seller added the following information: This just in from an interested eBayer: "Hello, this is a really well-preserved car; you just don't see enough of them like this anymore! I thought it would be interesting to point out, this is a 'special paint' car, meaning your grandfather or the dealer special-ordered the exterior paint color. This is evidenced by the 'blank' paint code, and the special DSO" Less than 48 hours to go! I look forward to working with the winner of this auction.
