The previous owner of this Trans Am put a lot of money and parts into this car. He had it painted and redid the interior, both of which look fantastic. This car has the 4-speed manual transmission. Borg-warner T10 with Hurst shifter. W72 option that is the high performance Pontiac 400. The best and most powerful engine available. The W72 is the only engine with chrome valve covers. Factory 4-barrel carburetor and 323 posi-traction rear end. Factory 19 black color code on trim tag. PHS documented with dealer window sticker. This car runs and drives great. New very high quality base coat clear coat paint,seats,tires, wheels,windshield glass,carpet,headliner and door panels. Factory air-conditioning but not hooked up. Car was painted october 2011 with no chips or dings. Taken to bare metal with all original body panels. Rear window was pulled and resealed. The clock, e-brake and 8-track do not work. . The car is a blast to drive and has no vibrations or pulling. It handles great and feels very tight.Hard to find a car this original and the work done on car to freshen it up cost a lot of money. The previous owner invested in the following new parts: rear brake cylinders brake master cylinder 4 core radiator heater and radiator hoses water pump thermostat starter heatercore electric choke Rebuilt numbers matching carburator Car has the numbers matching original factory engine. The exhaust is tired and has a leak but still functional. To be perfect it needs a new exaust system. It has a high idle that is probably distributer related as the carb is all new and rebuilt. Has a small power steering leak and needs front turn signals installed as they are just resting in there. Clutch may need attention as it is very heavy. Overall this is a beautiful 100% rust free Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am that has had all the body and interior restoration completed and just needs a few mechanical odds and ends but is ready to drive now. Clear Title Paid $14,950 for the car in April and bought $800 worth of new parts mentioned below, in the middle of some home remodeling and need to free up the funds. Reserve is set substantially lower then what I paid for the car. Somebody will be getting a great deal.
