Vehicle Detail
This is a 1956 Packard Patrician, the last year of the Packard. This will make a great project car, with a hole lot less effort then most. This car only has 5739 original miles, still has the original oil change sticker on door post of 3700 mile service. This was one great barn find ,it has been in the barn for over 50 years and it is in great shape. The newly designed 374 cubic inch V8 motor produced 290 HP,electric auto leveling torsion bar auto -leveling, suspension using two torsions bar per side, Things that are powered are Wonder Bar radio, power steering, power brakes, electric windows, electric seats, door locks, retracting antenna, under seat heaters and tinted glass Milestone Car in automotive estimated that only 114 are still on the road. All the felt around windows are good. All the rubber looks good, except over the driver side the rubber is wrinkled, The trunk and hood rubbers are in great shape. The front end suspension is tight and suspension rubber is good, The body leveler work great, power windows work all but right rear, engine is free, valve is stuck, The inside of the motor looks new , took out gas tank few years ago and clean it, needs fuel gauge for the gas tank, rebuilt starter, and carb, new distributor cap and points and plug wires. looks like everything is here for this car from factory. The bottom of the kick panels should be fixed on the driver side. The passenger side don't seem to be that bad. 90% of the rust is surface rust. Haven't check the numbers, but by the way it looks I am shore they all matches. Thank you , and good luck, and any guestions I have not answered please feel free to call me at 386-663-2613,Anita and TonyOn Aug-05-12 at 16:21:14 PDT, seller added the following information: By 1941 the traditional Packard lines were almost completely gone with the introduction of the Packard Clipper. In 1954 Packard bought Studebaker but it was too late to save Packard. It remained in production until August 15'th 1956. A 56 year history came to an end. In 1957 the company tried to save the Packard name by introducing a dressed up Studebaker with the Packard name on it. This didn't fool the buying public. This was tried again in 1958 but only 1745 were sold. That move ended the packard forever When I stated the end of the true Packard 1956
