Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a rare 1989 Pontiac GTA WS6 5.7 Liter Convertible. It has only 41,000 original miles on it, the clean PA title notes the exact mileage. The car is in great condition and will only increase in value due to its rarity and low mileage. I have documentation that proves this car was ordered as a convertible and dropped shipped to ASC for the conversion. This is #132 out only 142 – GTA or Trans Am -w/L98 (350 TPI) made, it is believed to be 1 of 50 GTA 5.7 Verts made. ASC made Convertibles for Pontiac dealerships and data from 1989 ASC Dealer order logs shows 324 produced. Only a very small portion of those were 350 powered Convertibles. Interestingly 1989 was the First year a US Dealership could order T-tops and a 350 Engine in a firebird. Since all Convertibles started as a CC1 (T-Top) car and converted by ASC 1989 would also be the only year to get a 350 powered Convertible for the Firebird. As a side note there are a known 4 L98 Powered Camaros made in 1987, making the total number of L98 Powered Firebird and Camaro Convertibles produced some of the rarest and sought after third Gens made with a total of under 200 produced for both lines all years combined. Unfortunately, Pontiac is long gone. I am not a dealer and have sold several cars over the years on EBAY out of my collection and left buyers very happy with their purchase. I currently have two of these 5.7 GTA verts in my collection and need to make room due to several second gen projects we have started. I do not need to sell this car. I am on honest seller as you can see from my feedback. I am also very particular when it comes to my cars. I only buy and collect rare low mileage collectible cars. This car turns heads where ever it goes. It drives very smooth, but is not a Cadillac it’s an F-body. The body is in great shape, but is a twenty-three year old car and has a few minor flaws, by no means is there rust or dents. The car was repainted in the early nineties due to clear coat peeling on the hood and trunk, which is very typical for GM cars during that time. The prior owner told me that the dealer repainted the car. It still looks good, but is not a $15k paint job. The interior is like new and there are no stains or rips. The GTA power seats work as they should. The top is manual as they all were and is in like new condition and does not leak. The rear window is clear. There is only one small flaw on the drivers side that is approximately 1 ½ inches long. There is an aftermarket CD player installed in it and speakers. It is a detachable face radio. I have the original radio that will be included. The AC works and was converted to 134. It has a K&N air filter and all fluids are changed. It has a newer radiator in it. Everything works as it should except the power antenna. You can buy a new one for $60 on EBAY. The car is newly inspected and the tires are very good. The rims are in beautiful shape. It has a Flow Master muffler on it and sounds good. This car has dual cats on it (N10) this is rare option. In 1989, GM made a new dual catalytic converter exhaust system (RPO code N10) available, freeing up 13% more power from some LB9- and L98-equipped Formulas and Trans Ams; so equipped, LB9 engine output was increased to 225 hp while the L98 increased to 235 hp. It also has JG1 an aluminum driveshaft. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country. It has been very well maintained. I have not driven the car much since I owned it, as it was stored properly inside and driven only to shows and in warm weather. The car is not perfect it’s over twenty years old, but as you can see from the pictures that the car is in very nice condition and has low mileage lots of documentation, and the original owners manuals. This car will only go up in value and is a rare find. As they say if the top goes down the price goes up! You do see these time to time on EBAY, but they are not original and have much higher mileage. You will not be disappointed. Please be sure to ask questions and if you need to see more pictures please let me know. I do not discriminate against new Ebayers, but if you have less than 5 feedbacks please contact me, so I know you are serious or I will cancel your bids. The winning bidder will need to send $1000 deposit through Paypal within 24 hours of auction end and the rest by bank check or cash at pickup. The car will need to be picked up no later than seven days of the end of the auction. I will ship the car at the buyers expense and have worked with other buyers who have bought cars from me and am very flexible. This is a real auction and is pretty simple, if you have no intentions on buying the car don’t bid! Check out my feedback as a seller, here is the feedback on the last car I sold. This seller is 100% honest. The vehicle was spot on with description. Excellent!
