Nice VW Westy. I have owned the bus for 8 months. The Good: Starts, runs, drives. Body in overall very good condition. Interior is 95% complete. Brakes hold very good. Steering is good. Transmission is good. Radio works. Underside only has minor surface rust. New ignition lock and switch. New battery. Oil and filter, air filter, gas filter, tuned, cleaned up. All doors and hatches open and close very well. The sliding door nylon glide is replaced and that door mechanical is cleaned and lubed. The front and rear dining tables and the storage bin between the seats are there. The matresses and the rear seat are in good condition. The front seats are in fair condition with one minor tear on the drivers seat. The curtains, faded, were removed and washed. Instrument panel with gauges has been replaced. New odometer reads 75,000 miles. The rear hatch and side door panels are removed and available as templates. The PO had shag carpet on everything. The rear storage compartments were removed for cleaning and are there. I will reinstall them if requested by purchaser. The sink, stove and refrigerator are all in place. Option: A seperate engine, Serial # GE 045457, is available with its tin and exhaust. Turns over very easily. Comes with a floor rolling engine stand, a bell housing, a rebuilt starter etc. Has not been run since I am not familiar with getting gas to the injectors. Asking $900. Will go with the purchase of the bus if the "Buy it Now" is used or I will sell it seperately through Ebay. The Bad: Rear bumper has a dent. Under the rear left tailight there is a small rust hole and the battery locations are also rusted. All other rust is surface rust. The camper top canvas needs to be replaced. Tires are old, can be used but should be replaced. Noisy or bad valves. Minor crack in the lower passenger corner of the windshield. All other glass is good. The wood has delaminated due to the dry in the SouthWest. One drawer front is missing. Dash has a small cutout from PO, unknown purpose. Transmission, reverse is tight and needs an adjustment or bushing. The Ugly: None Reason for sale: Surgery and moving. Unable to complete project. I will respond to all questions as soon as possible.
