Vehicle Detail
This car is being sold with NO RESERVE. This is my 1987 Buick Regal Limited V8 with only 75,754 original miles. This is the "cruiser" cousin to the Regal Grand National and the GNX, both of which were V6 cars. This Regal is a one-owner car since new (it was just traded by the original owner). I have the original window sticker for the car showing the price of $15,859 in 1987. This is a very clean, excellent condition car- this is probably the nicest one you will find for sale anywhere. This Regal has the following equipment-5.0L V8automatic transmissionA/C- blows ice coldpower locks and windowschrome wheels This car has just had over $2000 of recent maintenance service done. The work just done includes- all new brakes, new tires, new exhaust system, tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, ignition module), new valve cover gaskets, new rear main seal, rebuilt transmission, new radiator and hoses, A/C system rebuilt and converted to R134a. The original owner didn't drive this car much, and it had been mostly sitting for the past 15 years. That is the reason for all the recent service work- getting the car back to reliable driving condition. Speaking of reliable, I would trust this car to drive cross-country- there are NO known mechanical problems or issues. This car starts, runs and drives great. It has an old-time security system which requires you to type in a 3-digit code to start the car. Once you do that, the car starts perfectly, idles smoothly, and runs great. It has a throaty exhaust note because the new exhaust system is dual exhaust with a more performance note to it. The suspension is tight, and the brakes stop great. This car handles and drives beautifully. As mentioned, the air conditioning is ice cold. The exterior and body are in good condition. The paint appears to be original, with the possible exception of the right front fender, which looks as though it has at least been clear-coated. The paint is in good, not perfect condition for the age. There are small nicks, scratches, craise-lines, checking, etc like you might expect for a 25-year old paint job. It looks quite nice, though. The chrome is in good condition. The underside of the car is rock solid, no rot or rust-out. The interior is clean and in good shape for the age. The seats and upholstery look good. The carpet is quite decent- it shows some stains, wear, etc again like you might expect for a 25-year old car. This is probably the nicest condition 1987 Regal you will find for sale. The car is as original as possible, yet totally reliable and dependable. Keep in mind that as a 25 year old car, it has normal wear and tear consistent with the age of the vehicle. This is a great 1980s classic car that will only go up in value. You can drive it anywhere- is absolutely ready to go. You can fly in to Cleveland (CLE) and drive this car home, or you can have it shipped, you may call Angels Moving Autos at 530 245 0481 for a shipping quote. This car is kept in my building in Willoughby, OH. Email me or call/text me at 440 339 4341 if you have questions. On Aug-09-12 at 06:59:14 PDT, seller added the following information:A few additional notes: the exhaust on the caris a Flowmaster dual exhaust with a throatier note than stock, with no catalytic converter. In OH any car over 25 years old does not have to be inspected, and qualifies for historical plates. The driver's power window is slow and finicky, but it does work. The car has been buffed and waxed since the photos were taken, and it looks even better. On Aug-10-12 at 21:30:28 PDT, seller added the following information:I have disabled and removed the keypad/alarm system from the car. It is a GM dealer-installed accessory, so I'm including it with the car in case someone would want to reinstall it. I have also just put in a new starter, even though as it turns out the old one was fine. It was just the keypad/alarm system acting up (hence why I disabled and removed it).On Aug-12-12 at 06:46:36 PDT, seller added the following information:
