Vehicle Detail
Super straight and very pretty 911SC. Rust free body, paint is in very good condition. I don't have any history on the paintwork, but obviously with a 31 year old car, at least some of it has been painted at some time. All panels match, with no discernible difference in color. Under the car is rust free and in very good condition, all original sealer and under-body protection in place. Tires are not new, but have good tread and are in good condition. Wheels are staggered Fuchs, black with polished rims, in extremely nice condition. The motor was rebuilt at 154,700 as was the transmission. It has also been updated to carrera chain tensioners. Engine does not smoke and emissions are clean, practically zero for CO and HC at last state test. It has a distibutorless ignition system fitted and custom stainless exhaust with 2 possible tips. A catalyst tip for clean air and a Cat delete tip for a really free flow exhaust with maximum performance and sound! Both sound great and i have alternated depending on how loud i can stand it! The interior is very nice, and has developed a nice patina consummate with it's age and mileage. There is a repaired tear on the head liner, and the sun visors look like the air has been partially let out! but that said , they still look and work fine. There is a new JVC head unit with a pretty decent sound system on the car. i pod and MP3 connections included. The trunk liners are new and there is a pretty good car cover included. The A/C works perfectly, bearing in mind this is a 1981 vehicle, so it's cold, but the volume is not up to today's standards . Still on R12 refrigerant with a new compressor, drier and expansion valve. Overall this car is a fine example considering it's age and mileage. I have a huge file of history going back to 1985, so it has a well documented past. It has new engine and transmission mounts, engine air hoses and fresh oil change. It drives very nicely and i don't know of any problems which will need attention in the near future, but please be realistic, this is a 31 year old 911, they need love and attention!
