Hello. This auction is for Ford Escort SE 1999, fully loaded except for CD Changer, which can be installed again as cable and mount are still there (in the trunk). Condition: Transmission shifts well on all gears, ABS works fine, all power options work and there are no mechanical problems that I know of. I check the car with my mechanic once or twice a year to perform tune-up and maintenance and also to check for possible problems and fix them ahead of time, so you can depend on this car. In fact we drove if from Brooklyn, NY to Montreal, Canada last year when we had a problem with our Toyota Camry. I also checked the car recently with another mechanic (probably only hoping that he would tell me to buy a new car), but he said the car was just fine :-( Well, I decided to buy a new car anyway, since the Escort is now a little small for our family plus a big dog. I love that car and really would love to keep it and I hope it will serve its new owner well for years to come. To comment on details and point out some imperfections, the eagle label on back window was put there by my husband as he was driving the car mostly during the first four years, until he got a Toyota Camry (larger car) with V6, leather seats and fully loaded and it became our main car ever since. We never took the label off as we got used to it. Tint on the windows is old, but I still prefer to have it with the old tint than without it. Inside there is a small cigarette burn and a small 1 inch cloth rip on driver seat (which can probably be fixed in 10 minutes) and there are some stains on the floor. Other than that, dashboard looks brand new and in general the interior is in a very good shape as it was well cared for. Exterior is such as to blend in easily in Brooklyn and not stand out much. Hood has a part where it was fixed and painted by our neighbour artist and we didn't change it not to hurt his feelings :-) There is a broken piece of plastic on left rear corner after someone hit the car while it was parked. Also, recently someone hit the left front wheel with their tire and you can see tire mark and the metal piece above bent and had to be fixed. Those are only cosmetic issues and all mechanical / electrical, etc. systems are working just fine. If you need a reliable car to take you from point A to point B, this is the car. It is dependable, cheap in maintenance and economical on gas. There's lots of spare parts for it out there and Escorts are well known for their long life span. As J. It is 4 door SE Sport fully loaded, which means it is the most expensive version possible (as far as we checked). Features include: ABS, FWD, Alloy Wheels, AM/FM Radio, Casette Player, Manual Transmission, Chrome Exhaust, Tinted Windows, Rear Spoiler, Driver Airbag, Passenger Airbag, Bucket Seats, Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Power Mirrors, Power Locks, Power Windows, Rear Defogger, Remote Entry System (including two sets of keys and remotes with door/trunk/panic-alarm buttons) and more. All features work fine. History: We bought this car in 2002, becoming second owner of this vehicle. A couple years later we bought a Toyota Camry and now Ford Edge, so our Escort was more of a backup car in its later years and now is time to let go of it, despite the fact that it runs just fine. This car was first my husband's car and a year later our daughter was born, so I guess you could say it became a family car then. Three years after that (or four years after we bought the car), we purchased the mentioned Toyota, so Escort became our secondary car or I would use it when I needed to drive and husband took the Toyota, which happened rarely.
