$40,000 Invested in Parts & 1.5 years of Restoration Labor (Countless hours spent over a year and a half on evenings and weekends) 1967 Pontiac Firebird Convertible (400 Reproduction) Beautiful Condition...even better in person!Gorgeous Tyrol Blue Paint Meticulously and painstakingly restored classic American Muscle car Selling because I am almost finished with my next project car and the wife wants the Kitchen remodeled Looks very good from every angle and I get a lot of compliments about the color and overall look at car shows The car has been to only half a dozen shows a year. Since restoration there is less than 5000 miles.Car was purchased February 27, 2006 and Restoration was complete August 2007 I designed the car under my own vision and there are very few Firebirds like it.Rides smoothly in town or on the freeway and with two resonators and a transverse muffler it is not to loud on the road but you can hear every cylinder fire at stop signs. This Firebird has been fully restored. Parts that were not replaced were reconditioned. Things I am not satisfied with. When I had the white convertible top installed I was told to let it stretch out for a period because it would loosen up. The top has only been up a few times because I never drive the car in bad weather so the top is still difficult to get up. If you plan on driving the car while it is raining it will not be water tight. Interior is done all stock with deluxe door panels and stock console. White vinyl seats, blue carpet and wood accent trim. When I was installing a stereo I did not want to cut the dash so I used a stereo made to fit. Personally I am not happy with the sound quality so if you are looking for today's modern sound it will require replacement. This car is exciting to drive. It is rated to have 450 hp and will shock you when you step on it. The engine is very smooth due to the hydraulic cam and engine balancing. Because I built the car to drive I used all GM drive train without any jimmy rigging. Because Firebird is GM everything bolted straight up.This car took a year and a half of evenings and weekends. If I was to count the hours with any kind of monetary value it would be at least double the cost of the materials.Always kept in the garage when not driving it This is the first time this car has been listed for sale anywhere and in no rush to sell. Interested parties are welcome to make contact via Ebay and I'll provide my phone number if you want to talk more about the car.
