This will be an absolute sale. The highest bid wins! I am a collector of classic aircooled Porsches. This was my 14th Porsche. I only own the finest examples. I am a PCA member and Lifetime Rennlist Member. This is an excellent example of the 3.2 Carrera. The Glasurit black paint is beautiful. Look at the pictures, the paint is like a mirror. This car has many desirable upgrades. Including LSD, Weltmiester front and rear sway bars, Koni gas hydraulic rear shocks, adjustable koni front shocks, SSI heat exchangers (exhaust system), turbo tie rod assemblies, performance pedal set, Kuehl A/C upgrades, tinted glass, Alpine stereo system. The gearbox is the smoothest 915 I have ever owned or driven (of course still not as nice as a G50, but close). The LSD is nice to have. This car has had some Griffiths Kuehl air conditioning upgrades. The A/C works well. Better than most air cooled 911s, but not as good as a brand new Toyota. Driver's seat is full power. Recently installed 4 new tires (Kuhmo Ecsta) Front chin spoiler and rear Carrera whale tail The exterior and interior are both in excellent shape. I would rate them an honest 9-9.5/10. The engine and drivetrain run flawlessly and I would not hesitate to drive this 911 across the country. This 911 does not suffer from the typical valve guide issue. No smoke!! The suspension is excellent and tight, as is everything with the chassis. Everything works on this car. The A/C, power windows, cruise control, sunroof, all lights, etc. Again EVERYTHING works (unlike most old aircooled 911s) The car has spent almost all of it's life garaged. I have all documentation, owner's manual, warranty information, etc. I have complete service records from 1985-1990 and from 1999-now. The original toolkit in it's leather case and jack are both there and complete. There is no rust on this 911 anywhere. The negatives: small crack in the defrost vent of the dash on pass side. I took a close up picture to show you this. Most 911 dashes are cracked to hell. This one just has a tiny crack in the corner of the defrost vent. I would rate this dash in the top 3% of the 3.2 carreras. Not perfect because of this, but way nicer than most. slight wear spot on the driver's side outer bolster. again, this is typical in these cars and this bolster is still nicer than most. I took a close up picture of this to show you. Like all 911s, the engine weeps a little oil. Unlike most, it does not leave a spot on the garage and I have never had to add oil between changes. The car has been stored in my aircraft hangar which has a pristine epoxy painted floor. It has never left a dribble. I cannot find the service record folder for 9 of the 27 years of this car's life. The 1990s folder is missing, possibly lost in a recent move. I hope to locate it before the auction ends. Unlike most 911s you will see for sale, I have the rest of the service records. A huge stack of them. Including from 1985-1990 and from 1999-2012. I do not have the original stereo. I had it, but cannot locate it since my move. The Alpine system is modern and was professionally installed, but of course it is not original. Please review all the detailed pictures and watch the video. The last 2 aircooled Porsches I sold out of my collection, a 1981 911SC and a 1974 gulf blue 911S both went to Europe. One to Norway and the other to Austria. I cannot find the service record folder for 9 of the 27 years of this car's life. The 1990s folder is missing, possibly lost in a recent move. I hope to locate it before the auction ends. Unlike most 911s you will see for sale, I have the rest of the service records. A huge stack of them. Including from 1985-1990 and from 1999-2012.
I do not have the original stereo. I had it, but cannot locate it since my move. The Alpine system is modern and was professionally installed, but of course it is not original.
Please review all the detailed pictures and watch the video. The last 2 aircooled Porsches I sold out of my collection, a 1981 911SC and a 1974 gulf blue 911S both went to Europe. One to Norway and the other to Austria. This car is being auctioned with no reserve and will be sold as-is, where-is. However, I will assist international bidders in delivering the car to the port in Houston or Galveston for no charge.

The car is available for inspection. If you would like to have a pre-purchase inspection done, this must be conducted prior to the auction close. I will be happy to present the car to any qualified shop in the Houston area for inspection.
