Vehicle Detail

1970 Challenger, high class sports hardtop. The door tag matches VIN on the dash and the fender tag, I can't find the stamp on the radiator support. It appears the radiator support has been replaced. The motor and tranny have been upgraded. Originally a 318 car but now has a 340 under the hood, 4 speed manual hurst quick shift, with a 4 barrel Holley carb. Engine is basically stock with an aluminum Holley Strip Dominator intake manifold. Mileage shown is about 32K but I cannot verify the accuracy of the odometer (my guess is 232K). The body is straight; no collisions have been ever reported on this car. Since the car came from the east coast, some rust should be expected (maybe rust forming, including areas under the vinyl roof). The interior is in good shape as well. All gages are working except the clock and the original tachometer (reason why it has the Autogage tachometer shown in the pictures). I have replaced the headliner and place original trims, giving a fresh and nicer look. With the pictures I am trying to be explicit on the car condition. Original paint should be white. The car has been repainted in blue and now in black. The list of items changed within the last 3 years to the best of my knowledge are the battery, battery tray, brakes, fuel tank, fuel lines, brake lines, shocks, radiator, alternator, carpet, glovebox, some trims, some weather strips and paint. There is a crack in the center of the dash as you can see. I have driven this car for about 3,000 miles with no problems. To be a 42 years old car, it is smooth drive (watch these two uploaded videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vHasP3vCOU&feature=youtube_gdata http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtpBtOEmtmg&feature=youtu.be ). Engine starts and runs smooth with good oil pressure and never heats because the radiator is a little big. This car would make a great daily driver or is very presentable for shows with some little work. The seats are also in good condition. The passenger’s mirror is missing and the driver’s mirror adjuster in door panel is loose. The car has a pedal for the wiper washer, which is not working because it has missing the rest of the system. It also has the air conditioning system which is not working probably because when people installed the GPS move some wiring in the fuse box. However when I bought the car, the system blew air but neither cold nor hot. Just air. The horn is under the hood but is not connected to the steering wheel. Map light works, the dome light works with the doors. Antenna mast is missing. No spear tire and jack. Least important, the car has a pioneer radio, a pioneer 760 w amp, Polk audio speakers in the dash and in the rear. The GPS is a Garmin that come as a courtesy. It has Bluetooth (that is worthless because the sound of the engine) and works with an SD Card to place music if you want. The GPS is wired to the radio. I have the title in hand at my name. Hundreds of hours have been invested to bring this classic car close to its original state. Please be aware this is a 42 years old car (actually according to the door tag, it was built on August 69) and not a brand new car. Do not hesitate to ask questions in a timely manner (serious bidders only), I will respond and take pictures of anything you would like so you know the exact condition of the car.I do not accept trades so please do not ask.Listing has a $1,000 non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of auctions end.
