Vehicle Detail
This car was bought at Autorama a classic car dealership in San Marcos, Texas This car was rebuilt by Cappel's Auto Restoration shop in Dickinson, TX (recommended by Mustang Magazine) Have put in over $50,000 for this vehicle and as much as I want to keep this car I'm going overseas. Have taken the car on a few road trips This is a 289 mustang with a rebuilt 1990 mustang 302 engine This car is for someone that wants a classic car that runs, and oh does it run. I wanted to do things right and put in brand new parts on pretty much the entire car, and yes I know why put a 302 in a 289. Well the answer is the car just looks great, and I had to buy it. The ruby red paint with the white top is a head turner so get ready to get noticed and with the rumble of the 302 you'll feel like your back in the 60's. This car is not for the classic buyers that want all original parts, but for a buyer who wants a great running car that doesn't have to put in the work. It stops on a dime and gets up and goes! New suspension in front and back (Detailed in black paint), New Shocks, New Spring Coil, added two Sway bars for added frame support and comfort. Specific: 1. R&R Rear Suspension, Including Leaf Spring Shackle, U-Bolts Shocks and Detailled Rearend in Black Paint 2. R&R Front Suspension, Including Upper/Lower Control Arms with bar JTS, Spring Coil, Spring Perch, "Sway Bars", End Links, Shocks, Strut Red Bushings, Grease Ball JTS, Inner/Outer Whell Bearings/Greased, and Detailed in black paint. New Brakes (Detailed in black paint) Specific:1. R&R LH Fear Axle & Axle Seal2. R&R RH/LH Rear Brakes Including - Wheel Cylinders Hardware Drums 2" brake shoes, and Detailed with black paint3. R&R RH/LH Front Brakes including -Wheel cylinders, Brake Hose Flex, Brake shoes, and detailed with black paint4. R&R Brake Power Booster, Master Cylinder New Aluminum Radiator1. R&R Radiator2. R&R Fan3. 1/2 Coolant Filter Undercoat the under carriage with 3m sealer, and welded frame and seam seal. Specific:With the undercoat and welding of the frame allows the car to be driven in any weather condition. The bottom of the car looks amazing, and protected. The car will not rust with the detail. Because of the addition of the rebuilt 302 we also changed the gear on the rear end which really adds to the horsepower and burns some rubber when you put the peddle in stopping, and even on the HWY. So be careful, not a granny car. New wiring. All interior lights work, added two extra cigarette lighters for charging items on long trips, FM/AM Radio with ipod connection. Cobra alarm system that has active motion in case you want to leave the top down and go grab a beer. New oil pump. New cylinder heads and roller rockers. I have all the paperwork and receipts to prove the work put into the 68 mustang convertible!
