This 66 Coupe has pretty much been all done over. Several year Father Son project. Started with stripping it down completely to the frame. Any and all issues were dealt with several years ago. All body work and under hood rust was cut out and repaired. Doesnt look like much but was corrected.. I see and took photos of welds near strut towers. THERE IS NO RUST WHAT SO EVER NON. Very clean.. Then the 351W was rebuild professionally by local shop with all FORD parts and build up a bit. I dont have all the details but do have a stack of reciepts the size of a shoe box. IT RUNS AWESOME. Long tube headers were installed, but not thought out well, WAY TO LOW the hit the ground over decent bumps or angles, and leak some at flange/donut.. Could use some exhaust repairs, but sounds GOOD. Shifts and runs great. IT sat for roughly 3 years on wood FLOOR BARN. Seller removed the car from barn for us to take and sell, and backed up w DOOR open and hit driver door on Barn opening. knocked it minamally, but dented the hjnges. I ordered NEW Door from Mustangs unlimited and had Body shop put and and align. I had them paint entire car DEEP EMERALD GREEN from 90 Ford catalog...Car was painted 1 coat GREEn aproximatly 4 to 5 years ago POORLY. Not sure what the cars origainal color was...? Lots of extras included, tons of parts, several radios, car cover interior bits, lower rocker trim,NEW IN BOX, and MUCH MORE, even a spare WIRING harness included. About a month or so ago, I started working to make it a driver and after rplacing FUEL TANK and some lines and fuel filter it RUNS great. Doesnt stop for SHYTE, with 4 wheel drums, but it does stop. Needs some work there as a hard stop it pulls L some. TODAY 7/17 I drove car over 2 hours just driving around. NO issues except the HORRIBLE 4 wheel DRUMS from the factory, we did new shoes and some lines ALL around about a month ago. Tires have TONS a tread, but I thnk they are old. Seller says when the went to inspection YEARS ago, the Connecticut DMV re VIN'd the CAR.? You can see there tag in door jam. It has some paperwork I can try to find that had original VIn but tonight I couldnt find it. But it is Around or in car. I have lots of 4x6 photos of car in rebuild process. Sellers Son graduated college this year told DAD to sell it. SAD. But your gain. Again this runs and Dives but is a 66 and you could leave alone and have a nice driver or with Disc Brakes and some minor tweaking and it will be AWESOME.
