If you're a looking for Cayman S, then you already know what makes this car different and special, and I'm not going to repeat that here. What then is the "Grand Touring" Configuration? This is what I call the specific set of options I've put together on this car (I'm the original owner, purchased August 2006). By Grand Touring, this car is great for those long Sunday drives or driving vacations. Like driving down Hwy 1 from Santa Cruz to Morro Bay, or up to Eureka. The options are those that add performance and value, stuff that makes sense for the car's purpose. I've checked hundreds of Cayman S listings over the past year, and I've never seen another car configured exactly this way: Tiptronic: True, a purist would pick the six speed, but for every day driving, commuting and grand touring the Tiptronic is a great choice. Power seats: Porsche seats are among the most comfortable for long drives--way better than any other car I've had including BMWs (and I've had 5 of those).PCM with Navigation: Yes, you can get navigation on your smartphone, but it's still a bit of a pain in the ass to look at your phone and drive. I find the routing decisions on the Porsche system to be generally as good, and in some cases better than those provided by Google Maps. PASM and Sporto Chrono Plus: This is the key to the combo: with SCP you get the throttle remapping, improved shifting, and stiffened and lowered suspension settings for the PASM. The car handles the backroads like it was born there.Tooki Bluetooth Phone Integration: Instead of buying the Porsche Phone (2k+) I have NavTV's Tooki Bluetooth integration. The Tooki will automatically pair with your phone, and override your audio as necessary to make or answer calls. In addition, it supports Bluetooth Audio Profile, so you can stream music from your phone to the audio system.Bose Surround Sound: Normally, I hate Bose products, but in this case, the system is pretty decent, and the surround options actually works to improve overall quality.Leather Seats: Just looks better and easier to keep clean. Other stuff: The tires are Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1s, upsized to 245/40/18 in front and 275/35/18 in the rears. This considerably improves the overall grip and feel of the car. The transmission was completely replaced by the dealership in November 2010. Power steering pump has been replaced as well. I took the car to HPDE events and some autocrosses between 2007 and 2008.Complete dealership "pre-purchase inspection" was completed May 2011 (was considering selling then), and all items corrected. Less than 1,000 miles since then. Is the car flawless? No. I've included photos of the various dings and nicks I found. The corner of the ashtray is chipped, the door sills are scuffed, and the plastic trim under the luggage handle is nicked. I had the front bumper repainted last year ($1400) since it had lots of little nicks. No accidents or "events". Not included, but will discuss adding in for extra $: Porsche Roof rack ($300), and a second set of the factory five spoke alloy wheels,identical to what is car now ($800).All original documentation, including window stick, order sheet.Two keys.Dyno sheet shown in photos.Why am I selling? As much as I enjoy this car, I missed the feel of a six speed, so I bought a 2007 CS with the six speed, and more performance mods.
