Vehicle Detail
0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false 1991 Civic Si hatchback 68,940 actual miles Please read all the details. No rust. Engine is quiet, smooth, runs good idles smooth etc, no smoke. Starts instantly with turn of the key. No abnormal sounds. Sounds like a new Honda would have in 1991 5 Speed manual transmission shifts like it should, smooth to shift all gears Interior is like new, no tears, rips, fade. Carpet is nice and clean, headliner no tears. There is no side bolster wear and the seat foam is excellent firm like new, no soft spots or worn spots. The door panels have NO cuts from seatbelt or marks from the belt buckle, either side. Has the original Honda Si black carpet mats, the passenger has a few stains that could be cleaned carefully, driver side mat has deform wear from being used. Carpet under mats is mostly like new. No smells or odors inside the car Power Sunroof opens, closes perfectly Good matching tires all 4 wheels, Bridgestone Potenza RE930 185/60R14, tread excellent but a little older age-wise. All lights work All gauges work, no check engine lights Paint is shiny, very glossy, no fading, no dull spots or clearcoat issues. Really nice color. This Honda has only been hand washed with a garden hose, wash mit, and either ZipWax or Mequires wash products; never allowed to be power washed at a car wash place. I do know the majority of the paint is the original, the roof, quarters, right door, most of the left door, etc original paint. The hood has been repainted prior to me owning the car so before 2001, and it was blended onto the fenders, and left door. This car has never been rusted ever. The car has never had any paintwork done since i have owned it, exception of when I added the rear mid-wing, which was painted off the car. Heating controls all work as new, not cracked or broken, look like new. Glovebox opens and closes fine, the hinge is not broken Rear hatch struts are new so the liftgate stays open like new. Radio is a Alpine aftermarket CD this car did not originally come with a radio, it was a radio delete model, so at some point this radio was installed for some music. The harness has not been cut to install. Only has front door speakers in factory location. No rear speakers although there is a place to put some and factory wire is there. Brakes work as they should no pulls or shakes while applying brakes. All windows and glass excellent. Professionally tinted sides windows and rear. Tint job is perfect, top notch. Battery is good, Sears Diehard Car drives straight down the road, no wandering, or pulls to either side, no clunks or noises from engine, trans, or suspension. Been garage kept my entire ownership and evidently by all owners of this car since new. Kept under a cover while in garage Adult owned always, by responsible owner always. I purchased the car from a doctor over 10 years ago. Never raced, riced, etc. Sold As-Is, as a used car, there may be some tiny dings or scratches as can be expected with any used car. I tried to picture any notable ding or scratch Back sometime in 1999 or so, the hood was repainted, by the previous owner after a bike from his garage fell onto the hood. The paint was blended onto the fenders front bumper, etc. There is no other paintwork, for sure nothing on the top or back quarters, etc. The rear mid-wing is a real Mugen JDM from Japan, the spongy rubber type.. I personally have owned this Honda for the last 10 years, and it has only been parked in a garage under cover. Never left outside, not driven in rain or snow. A small 2x4 fell against the side of the car and has left a small dent on the back near the hatch, on the passenger side C pillar, it is small and hardly noticeable but that is the only dent I can detect other than like 2 door dings. The driver door has 2 door dings. The passenger door black rubber molding has a small door dent in it, but the door is not dented. There is 2 small scratches along the driver rear quarter panel, about 1 inch long each, and they have been touched up at some point with a fine tip paint pen. Sometimes even in a garage, the unexpected happens. The mount for the passenger side mirror has a crack in the mount trim, does not affect function, purely cosmetic. There are some driving road chips on the front of the hood. Oil change Castrol GTX 5w-30, wix oil filter, and Genuine Honda coolant change fall of 2011 Includes full folder of many service records etc.: 1/25/01 Honda Dealer, 48,641 miles..perform 45k mile service including the following: changed oil and filter, rotate and balanced tires and set pressure, chcked tires for wear, inspect exhaust, replaced air filter, cleaned and tightened battery terminals, adjusted engine valves and replaced valve cover gasket, checked front and rear brakes,, clean and adj rears, front brakes are new today/pads and rotors, and rear are 40% worn… AC not blowing cold anymore, was blowing cold when put into storage in 2005, must need a recharge. Last longer highway trip was to Chicago and back in September 2011, 560 miles roundtrip, had no issues, drives great. It still got 38mpg on that trip. I feel this car will drive anywhere, you could drive this car cross the country. I moved the car from Colorado to here in 2005, made the 760 mile drive no issue. It should have the Timing belt replaced due to age of it, not due to miles on the belt I will be glad to take phone calls or emails for further questions. I will be glad to attempt more photos, weather dependent. If you call me at 641-528-2094 on my landline I will be happy to chat about this car. Clean title, VIN check is perfect too. This is an auction and will not end early. It will bring smiles to the new owner. Comes with extensive receipts of general maintenance things over the years, including previous owner records. Oil has been changed every 2500-3000 miles, using Castrol GTX 5W-30 and Honda or Wix oil filters. It would be rare, hard or impossible to find a 91 Civic Si in this condition. It is collector / near museum quality. Sold As-Is, it is a used car. I am not listing the car as looking brand new. But it is very nice let the pictures tell the condition more than I can describe. Honestly this is likely one of the top 3 left in the country. All pictures taken in July 15, 2012 Comes with factory owners manual, factory tool kit, lug wrench, jack, original spare tire, and 2 Honda factory keys. Title, registration all current and up to date. Immediate paypal deposit of 500 (non refundable) due within 24 hours of the auction ending. Remainder payment due at time of picking up the car. Can discuss payment methods/cash or certified money, etc. I prefer you to come and pick up the car in person. Please do not bid unless you plan to complete the transaction. This takes time to list and I want to continue the positive feedback for future. Bid to win. PLEASE respect Ebay rules and bid only if you have the funds to complete the transaction. I have added a BUY it now for those who are super interested. I did list this car in early spring and had over 1500 page views and over 200 people watching the auction then. My CR-Z is now my daily driver, seen in the background. I still have a 91crx si too. I know a fair thing about Hondas. You will not ever find one this clean as the 1991 Civic Si in this listing. thanks.more pics [ these are the best pics my camera can take. I do not have a cell phone, and do not have new digital stuff. Please come look at the car in person to get a better view.On Jul-17-12 at 17:35:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I did remember that I drove the car to Omaha and back in April or May of 2012, so that was the most recent long trip, to update the original listing
