Vehicle Detail
Black Custom 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS - Auto Transmission Up for sale is the car I have been working on and replacing every inch for for the past 8 years. Please watch this walkthough / Test Drive video I made for the auction It will explain much of the vehicle: -----------------> http://youtu.be/SuzdRXBSveU <----------------- Rebuilt title (way light front hit from last owner that only cracked the bumper cover and left fender, was repaired by authorized mitsu dealer many many years ago) Completely brand new All Motor built 420a from Slowboy Racing. Less than 700 miles on new engine 137k on body Brian Crower Rods 10:5.1 High compression Weisco Pistons ARP Head bolts Block bored .10 over machined All new cams, gears, valves, Timing Belt, Tensioner pulley, water pump, literally everything is new. Ready for turbo, in fact it was built with a massive turbo, which was sold off. ALL NEW ENGINE PARTS: A/C Compressor Exhaust Header (4-1 DC Chrome Header) Alternator (replaced two summers ago) All belts Battery Transmission removed, opened, cleaned, oiled and metal "batwings" were added to the spline to keep the popular "hole in transmission case" from happening. NEW Suspension: Outer tie rods Ball Joints 4 new wheel studs NEW Brakes: All new drilled and slotted rotors (4) All new brake pads (4) All calipers removed, sanded, painted (off of the car) dust covers painted w/ high temp grey paint. They look incredibly clean Brake fluid bled/replaced NEW Wheels/tires: 5 spoke custom Corvette replica chrome wheels 225/40/18 Toyo Proxes 4 Tires, not new, but good tread. NEW exterior: New Windshield Black housing dual Halo projector headlights Kombat rear bumper New oem front bumper (Polyurethane) VIS invader carbon fiber hood (messed up though, I also have an original red in color oem hood that is included with sale) Custom side skirts F-1 Fenders Totally one of a kind rear spoiler, with a moulded wing, you'll never see another like this Shaved Antenna, rear wiper (needs redoing though) New rear hatch struts Sanded and sealed power moonroof working great. New spare tire NEW Interior: Custom microsuede interior over headliner, back seat side panels, door panels, kick panels. Sadly, it is fading and turning blue. New Memphis audio speakers, woofers, tweeters in dash, all new upgraded wiring Complete soundproofing (took me three weeks) TWO layers of Fatmat on total floor, every panel stuffed with newspaper, all frame filled with expanding foam, one layer of fatmat on sides, inner doors, and roof, and 1 inch thick carpet padding on floor as well In dash 7" touch screen computer: Sony Vaio 1Ghz Laptop under drivers seat running Centrafuse 3.1 Car software Microsoft USB GPS antenna mounted in hatch Wifi adapter mounted in hatch Griffin Powerknob with blue glowing LED which powers the volume of the entire system mounted on dash 7" Lilliput touchscreen monitor custom moulded into dash (touch screen is getting glitchy at the corners though) Custom wired on/off switch to be mounted into dash, push button start up/shutdown AC Converter under passenger seat powering it all ALARM/ REMOTE START: 2 Way FM Remote start/keyless entry/alarm system with color/vibrating remote control Power moonroof The bad: The car was repainted fresh only last summer, but it was badly done, and has runs in the clear coat which need to be sanded out, and assorted body work issues like cracks in the front of the sideskirt and the paint totally coming off in the rear wheels. The Carbon fiber hood is spider cracking and does not fit flush, which is why I got the oem one to put back on (included). The holes from the rear wiper delete and antenna delete are cracking slightly around the bondo. Basically the car needs to be repainted, I however was going to actually sand it down and wrap it in matte vinyl as it can be done for way less and you can do it on your own The interior is not totally back together, kick panels need to be snapped back in and the rear view mirrors aren't wrapped nor installed. I can supply most all of the bolts and parts, but there may be some small plastic pieces you need to get from pull a part. Actually I think I have every piece labelled in bags still. The carpet was dyed back but is fading, it will need to be replaced. Drivers side power windows and lock switches have sunk into the door, and just in the last week the drivers side power motor lock stopped working but it may be a wire loose from the switch sinking in that is a one screw fix. The computer works fine, but was very technical to put together and occasionally things get glitchy. You have to know your way around computers to keep it up and running, although the whole thing could be replaced by a kindle fire for less than $200 now as I was planning to do, but it works. Slight squeak in a belt tensioner pulley that needs replaced Passenger front wheel has slow leak around the rim somewhere, it goes flat after about 2 weeks if you don't refill it. --------------------------------- This car is 90% to being a ridiculous vehicle. it needs someone to put the love and care into finishing it up, but that only applies to things like the paint, final interior as this thing starts, runs and drives PERFECTLY, stops on a dime, accelerates like hell, always perfect temperature, AC blows ice cold, heat works great, it drives like a dream, it just needs the final non-mechanical work to get it to showroom quality. The car is currently located in Ashtabula County, Ohio but I can deliver it anywhere from Youngstown, to Erie, PA to Cleveland, or Akron. Would prefer pickup if possible however., Also willing to ship at owners expense.
