I am offering at auction a beautiful, original, rust-free, unmolested 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger Lariat 2WD pickup truck. This super clean beauty has spent its entire life in warm dry Texas until 2011. With just 47,000 original miles it runs , looks and drives like new! It is equipped with power steering and brakes, Air conditioning, AM/FM stereo, tilt wheel, cruise control, factory gauges, dual fuel tanks, "mag styled" wheel covers, brand new radial tires, sliding back window, chrome bed rails, and last but not least the "460" 4 barrel engine coupled to a C-6 automatic transmission. This is exactly the way this truck was born! From the information I have found, this engine was a rare option in an F-150. This rust free Texas truck has had one professional repaint a couple of years ago. It shows beautiful with just a very few chips from normal use. All mouldings and trim are in great condition. The windshield and all glass is excellent . The box bed is straight and clean and has been Rhino-Liner coated. There is also a new rubber bed mat. The interior is as close to new as possible with no evdence of wear. The carpet and upholstery is crisp and clean.The dash is like new with no cracks or blemishes. This obviously was NOT a work truck, but someones pride and joy! Mechanically it is all correct and original. The engine starts right up with no noises or smoke. The transmission shifts smooth and positive. It is an absolute pleasure to drive with no squeaks or rattles. Goes down the road straight and smooth. i have found no issues with this classic beauty. I am a serious classic car enthusiast / collector . I have driven this truck to several cruise-ins and I can tell you that it draws a crowd wherever it goes! i would love to keep this beauty, but I already have more cars than space and time will allow.
