Low reserve You are viewing my slick black 1979 Pontiac Trans Am for sale. This is a clean, low miles, beautiful survivor car with only 62k original miles. The car has one fresh, slick black base coat/clear coat repaint with the original Trans Am "Bird" recleared and completely in tact. All decals to factory specs and moldings, etc. The interior is completely original, beautiful and the seats are perfect. Glass is good and the original T Tops do not leak. In 1979 the power plant of the Pontiac Trans Am was the optional H/O 6.6 L 403 cubic inch Oldsmobile motor. The engine runs perfectly and starts better than a brand new car. Motor has a fresh 4 barrel carb and brand new Hooker headers. The transmission is super tight and is automatic but can be manually shifted with the Hurst shifter. (Very muscle) The rear end is a locker posi unit and the car burns rubber straight and evenly, as it should. Power steering and power brakes work great and the car runs like a dream. Honey comb rims are clean and the car has a heavy duty rear sway bar underneath to improve handling. The car could use new tires and maybe a new carpet. This car gets huge amounts of attention everywhere it goes and draws a crowd daily. Sony head unit and kicker 6 x 9 speakers and 6" door speakers.
