Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a rare 1986 Volvo 740 with a Fuel Injected 5.0 HO Ford conversion. It was done useing the Converse Engineering Kit. This is not a shade tree hack job. This Volvo is very fun to drive, it is very torquey and sounds great! It was done very professionally by a engineer. It looks like it was done at the factory to those that dont know any better. It has a ford AOD Automatic transmision. It has a engine/transmission conversion information sticker by the passenger side fire wall. the conversion was done 2/96, the engine, transmission, computer, wireing harness came out of a 92 Lincoin Mark VIII with 20k mIles on it at the time. The body of the 740 had 120k miles on it when the conversion was done. So this is a older conversion wich is good. I was told by the previous owner that the engine was replaced with a rebuilt/crate motor short block 1.5 years ago and the transmission has been rebuilt also. So the short block and the transmission only has about 15k Miles on it. All of the gauges work, the ac blows cold, the heat blows hot, this car even has catalytic converters and o2 sensors. Even the check engine lt was hooked up to the computer and will warn you if there is a problem. The engine runs smooth, the trans shifts smooth. It has lots of power and torque. It has the original Volvo rear end and gears but has a custom drive shaft. The body/paint is in pretty good shape for a older car. It is shiny but shows some wear. It was dent free until my neighbor's daughter ran in to the drivers side quarter panel with a golf cart. It is not too bad but there is a dent as seen in the picture. It has a set of 16 inch 940 turbo wheels with matching Good Year eagle tires with about 75% tread left on them. All exterrior lights work as they should. The interior is in good shape for a older car. the seats look very good. The dash has a cover over it as the dash top has some cracks in it. I just installed a new Alpine cd player and replaced the rear deck speakers. The tops of the door panels show some fadeing from the sun. All of the interrior electricals work as they should such as pwr windows, blower motor, dash lights. The Volvo is available for inspection before the auction ends. I am listing the 740 with a reasonable reserve and a reasonable buy it now price. Their is no way you could build one of these for the buy it now price. It is the responsibilty of the winning bidder to pick up the car or make shipping arrangements. I can store the car for a reasonable amount of time but it must be paid for within 3 days of the auction ending and a $500 deposit by paypal withn 24 hours of the auction ending. I am a licensed South Carolina dealer so if the car is going to registered in S.C I will have to collect the 5% sales tax. I have had the car for about 6 months and had planned on keeping it but I have too may projects/toys rite now and I dont drive it nearly enough to justify keeping it. The Volvo is being sold as is where is. If you have any questions you can email me or call 864-529-4957. Thanks Dennis
